Floating Roses

Recommended Posts

Oh, no, there aren't wick holes. Since floaters need tabbed wicks I use the same method as my other silicone molds. I poke an initial hole with a straight pin, then stick a rod in it. I use lengths of cut clothes hanger wire, from 4" to 10" depending on the mold. I use steel wool on the rods to remove any varnish or whatever it is that coats them. And if the rod doesn't stand straight (which is often since I rarely get the holes perfect) I use a popcicle stick with a hole in it to steady it :)
