Candybee
Ooooh! I am waiting for the reviews of the Very Vanilla. Its supposed to be a good thrower in soy.
soycool
I have had excellent results in eco pure with the very vanilla, had 2 people tell me it made their whole house smell wonderful. Same with the Spiced Wassil, a couple of guys burn it at their shop and told me they can still smell it the next morning. I keep thinking I want to try a new supplier, but CS seems to always be good, same with Peaks. I also use 8 oz square masons and a 48 hour cure time.Lovin CSNatalie
R.S.
I too love the Very Vanilla.. good throw. .Really turned my CB135 brown though. And I have had to wick up 2 sizes.. curious if anyone else has had to wick up that much. (CD10 ---> CD14)
Tizimarezie
I have the Very Vanilla but haven't tried it yet. I have a hard time with any Vanilla throwing well so I'm anxious to try this one. OOB it's fabulous! Thanks for these reviews!
icecold
May I ask what size wick you use for your 8oz square masons? I love Candle Science. I tried their Blackberry Marmalade and it is awesome.
evesorto
Thanks for the Reviews. I wonder if the sample sale is coming soon.?Eve
Candybee
I'm with you evesorto-- It sure would be nice if they had that sale soon. The Very Vanilla reviews sound very promising. I will have to try this one. I want a great throwing vanilla to use it plain and for mixing with other oils.
Candybee
Maybe they will make an announcement in this thread. I know they read the forum and post for their customers. (Hint hint)
jakalex
They usually only have those sample sales twice a year. The last one was in August or Septmeber...I think???? If I had to guess I would say the next one will not be until spring...6 months would be around April. But who knows:confused:
lsbennis
So far I have had good luck with the Very Vanilla in KY 50/50...great hot and cold throw!

CandleKat
I too love the Very Vanilla.. good throw. .Really turned my CB135 brown though. And I have had to wick up 2 sizes.. curious if anyone else has had to wick up that much. (CD10 ---> CD14)R.S.,I too have trouble w/vanilla's turning my CB135 brown- grrr! It doesn't matter who's vanilla it is. I wonder if anyone else has come across this and had any success. Also, about the wicking question with Very Vanilla, I mostly use 8oz frosted tumblers and 16 oz apoths. For the the tumblers I use a CD12 and for the apoths I double wick w/2 12's. R.S.
I'm ok with the brownish shade, it is what it is. I too use tumblers (7.5 oz) but didn't care for the CD12 it burned ok at the bottom, but too much hang up getting to the bottom of the candle. And flame in the middle almost died out. jakalex
Well it did not turn my CB135 brown???? I will have to pour another and see what happens. I also did not have to wick up.:undecided
blt212
I've tested Very Vanilla, Spiced Wassail and White Tea and Berries with C3. All had great cold and hot throw. My favorite is definitely the White Tea and Berries. As for the Very Vanilla, I did have to wick up. I typically can use ECO10's in my 16oz mason with most scents but with this one, I went up to a ECO12 with good results.
coffeebean
I use cb135 with 1 tsp co and 1 tsp bw to 1 lb wax. I add 1.05 oz of fo. The best hot and cold throw scents from cs for me is wold berry mousse, and cranberry marmalade.
kandlekrazy
I had really good luck with Very Vanilla and pretty good with White Tea & Berries in C3. Love the WT&B!! I'm not a big straight vanilla fan, but this one is nice.
snow
GL Antahallia Vanilla is a good one, I've had vanilla haters like this one. It has a good throw also. But it will turn a little brown also. Just thought I'd throw that in even tho it isn't the vanilla your talking about. But its a keeper!
heidijo
Anyone know if Candlescience has had their spring sample size FO sale this year yet? I've emailed them but wondering if anyone knew. I always find it a great opportunity to stock up!
