  1. Layered GlassGlow Container Instructions By jakalex Supplies: For these instructions I am using a 16oz Apothecary jar. I have taken 16oz and divided it by 3 for equal layers. Example: 16/3= 5.33..rounded to 5.35oz of wax for each layer The pictures are of a different container but show the layering process. You can use whatever container you want just decide how much wax the container will hold and the # of layers you want and divide layers into wax amount to get your weight for each layer. GlassGlow Palm Wax(16oz) Glass Container (16oz Apothecary) Wicks CD or CSN (Suggested wick size: 2-CSN 7 or 9’s or 2-CD 8 or 10’s) Wick stickums (glue dots will not work) Dye (Optional) Fragrance 1: Heat container(s) in oven @ 125 degrees 2: Melt wax in presto pot to 200 degrees 3: Remove from heat weigh out 5.35oz of wax and add color & fragrance (5-6%) 4: Remove container(s) from oven and place wick(s) (I use the shell of a ballpoint pen to press wicks in the hot jars) 5: Secure wicks with wick bar 6: Pour wax into container for 1st layer 7: Let layer cool completely 8: For the next layer repeat steps: 2, 3 then…. 9: Pour second layer on top of first layer 10: Take heat gun and heat around the 2nd layer on the outside of container. Turn container while applying heat to distribute the heat evenly. I try to apply most of the heat to the upper part of the layer to prevent colors bleeding between layers. Heat until the wax has released from the sides of the container. Let layer cool completely before pouring the 3rd and last layer. 11: For your third & final layer repeat steps 7-10.
  2. I use cd wicks. I usually do not pour in containers I can not double wick. Have never had any luck with single wicking this wax.
  3. I have poured alot of the glass glow. I prefer to layer it. Air bubbles are not an issue and they look so preeety! Lol! There is a tutorial I did in the tutorial section on layering.
  4. I love to mix Ooey gooey caramel fro candle cocoon with Mac apple from snowtop(ics) or green apple. The best I have found for cb135.
  5. Where can u get the water level tubes from? Looks like a test tube..I broke mine in the move.
  6. I have not found one yet. I use buttercream or cake batter from Daystar.
  7. No, they do not. She does offer $2.00 2oz samples when a new fragrance comes out.
  8. Cherry Cola from BCS is awesome!
  9. FOH just updated their site: *** UPDATE -- UPDATE*** As of this time, I have not received any substantial offers that I have accepted or in the process of accepting. If I do not receive any offers that will be of value to myself and the buyer, I will have to make other decisions for my customers as I do not want my existing customers to have to do without the fragrance oils that I have made a part of my family. Please stay tuned in for further decisions.
  10. Here are a couple of links with pics of my candle room. I have actually changed it some since these. Cleaned out alot, but is is basically the same. http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51167&highlight=candle+room http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51200&highlight=candle+room
  11. Wildberry Mousse is awesome but I think that would be more bakery. One of my favorite scents! For straight berry scents, here is what preforms well in CB135 for me: Blueberry~southernscentsations Country Berry~ North Star (Blow your doors off!) That is all I can think of right now.:rolleyes2
  12. Would you mind sharing where you found it? This is one of my favorite scents from FOH. Thanks
  13. That is not what I said at all. I have not been on the board much lately, but I have not seen anyone post about having any problems with FOH...until now...and the few recent posts I have found it seems you were the ring leader! And if you want to get sh**ty about it. We are suppose to take your word for for what happened??? That is only one side of the story. And from the way you tell it, it is already second hand information.
  14. I have never had anything but great customer service from Kim. Not all of her oils have worked in my wax though. Which is true of any supplier. All waxes are not created equal. I never could get Apple Cobbler Delight to throw in CB135 and I think that FO works for just about everyone! I think I might have even posted here that it did not work for me, but can't remember. I emailed her about it and she was very nice. I then tested the Autumn Harvest and preferred that one. My question is, why when a supplier is having problems people start coming out of the wood work to bash them? The economy has affected many of us; financially, physically and emotionally. Many suppliers have increased prices on many items not just FOH. FOH is going out of business, so those of you who were not satisfied with her CS or prices do not have to worry about it anymore now do you?? JMO
  15. Just went to the FOH site and she is closing! I am so sad. I surely hope a supplier buys her so I can continue to buy all her wonderful oils. The economy is hitting everyone so hard. I am sure this is one of many of the smaller suppliers that will close this year. Kim you are in my prayers and hope things turn around for you!
  16. I am not sure what type jar I am using either! LOL! I guess if I can find the lids I will decide on the jar.:rolleyes2 Thanks!
  17. Does anyone know where to get cork jar lids?
  18. http://www.amberglocreations.com/store/ Amber has it! The website is set up kinda weird, but if you go to candle supplies and register you can order wholesale supplies. She is having 10% off until midnight tonight!
  19. Well, I have to say that it is tough on everyone right now. Many small suppliers have been forced to go out of biz because of the economy. She is just trying to regroup so she can stay in business. I do not consider it "sh***ing" her customers. I would much rather her do what she has to in order to stay in business. Many of us have had to start working outside the home because of the economy. I have never had any problem with her responding to my emails, which I have with other suppliers. If the orders are not coming in then how is she expected to keep stock oils? JMO
  20. Anyone ever heard of them? I was searching for tumblers and stumbled across their site. http://www.scentednest.com/
  21. I have tried this in CB135 and another friend has tried it in 464 and 444 with no hot throw. We really wanted this to work because it is so great OOB! KY's Banana Cream Pie is awesome!
  22. I just test burned pecan pie from candlescience in CB135 and it is awesome!
  23. I poured this a couple of days ago in CB135~ 8oz sq. mason jar and all I can say is WoW! Hubby even commented several times that he really liked it! A+++++++++
  24. I used to used MC's Extreme Vanilla, but CS's Very Vanilla is exactly the same so that is what I use now.
