Brooke
Hi Everyone,What is your advice for the best Lavender Scent  I have tried SNTP but the oil turned my wax light blueLook forward to hearing your thougths Brooke
sudsnwicks
I am very happy with the one I have from Peak. It is a strong one, you only need to use 0.25 - 0.5 oz per lb. I am not sure if this discolors wax, as I usually color it in some shade of purple.
Kaybee23
The one from Peak is really great. I just got one from Scented Bean, haven't tried it in anything yet, but it smells wonderful too.

HOPI
Hi, Well I tried Peaks Lavender and to my nose it didn't smell true. I made some candles and took one to work. A coworker said that it reminded him of an URINAL CAKE found in the men's room. :embarasse He said that it stunk when cold but smelled ok when lit. I am now looking for another to try. sudsnwicks
Hopi, how long did you wait before taking them to work? I've noticed the lavender is sharp at first (and yes, this makes me think of toilet cleaner as well), then mellows out after some time. A longer cure is better for this scent as it really does soften it up.
Scented
ROFLMAO, don't you mean "inebriating" Julie? :laugh2:Yes you can get a little buzz from it LMAO!!very good and very potent. I pour this one at 1/2 oz pp.I made the mistake of going 1 oz pp (and I knew better) and got stoned lol. Sherie was my witness.
mappam
Okay this may be a really Dumb Question - but why are you using FO and not EO?I have NOT tried using Lavender EO in a candle - is there some reason it Does NOT work?? Does it morph or something weird:shocked2:
HOPI
Sudsnwicks- I made it about 7 weeks ago. I was so hoping that it would be nice-I love all the Peaks fos that I have tried but I guess it's not for me:embarasse . Thanks for the info. Jeana
Okay this may be a really Dumb Question - but why are you using FO and not EO?I have NOT tried using Lavender EO in a candle - is there some reason it Does NOT work?? Does it morph or something weird:shocked2:I've only used EO but I don't think it fills the room like an FO. I got an FO sample from candlescience and it smells very close to the real thing. And doesn't smell like a urinal cake, in the bottle anyway. I will get it soon, then I will know if it is any good out of the bottle. Groovy Chic
Try mixing your Peaks Lavender with a sweet vanilla, like BCN Vanilla Velvet, and you'll have an awesome smelling candle. 1/3 Lavender, 2/3 Vanilla Velvet. If you're looking for a lavender that is more mellow, you might try one of the Lavender Fields that many suppliers carry.
AngelaVA
Candles and Supplies has a really nice Lavender and Fresh Herbs. It is different than the regular lavender and throws really well. They also have a Lavender Tea, which I love. Very different take on lavender and it throws well too. I don't use many FOs from there, but I do love these two.
