Swirlies

Hello Everybody!

I've been doing a lot of pastel soaps and I wanted to take a step in another direction with a more vivid coloring. So here's what came out of the mold tonight. I gave them a shower to give them a shine, it seemed appropriate, and here they are drying off. CPOP scented with almond, sweet orange, and a touch of ylang ylang, colored with palm fruit oil, and swirled with cocoa powder and pink oxide.

I guess that's a step away from pastel, isn't it? :)

Thanks everybody! It's all an experiment still for me when I make a new bar..so much fun.

After I cut and bevel the bars, I run each bar through a stream of hot/warm water then set it on a drying rack on end to dry. In the morning I gently rub the bottom end of the bar to smooth out the wire rack lines. I don't have this perfected yet. :)
