  1. Holy crap girl... you have got it goin on!
  2. I think that cantelope lily was calling my name! ALL of them look lovely.
  3. Here is the one I did recently. I had tried a side by side pour :undecided that looked so pathetic I decided to shred it up. It came out looking like a big glob of guacamole but STILL looked more pleasing than the original sbs fiasco. Too bad this isn't scented lime cilantro, but it's actually lavender/sandalwood, but colored to match my bathroom.
  4. Need any help? LOL Can't wait for the cut pic!!
  5. I think it looks great for a rebatch! I normally don't like the looks of a rebatch and just recently had one of my own turn out nicely. Maybe there is a little rebatch fairy hanging out!!
  6. I'm lucky enough to have a supplier within 15 min from home so no shipping cost to me. http://www.nuscentscandle.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=101&Category_Code=CWA
  7. I have seen this asked hundreds of times & I know what you mean about the contradicting statements....what I would like to know is and I've also asked this 100 times....what is it that people don't get about the word PREBLENDED? You would think if the mfg. of a widely distributed/used wax thought that their product needed EXTRA additives...they would put it in there. I've used 4794 for 4+ yrs now (after trying others) and trust me...it's perfect the way it is. I'm a firm believer of not messing with success.
  8. That is just the little bit of wax that gets under the wick pin. I get that all of the time but it seems to come off evenly and the votive is level. I guess if it bothered you alot you could level them off, but really...what does it matter, it's a votive right? edited for spelling~
  9. I like that swirl/layer effect you got there. Very appealing to the eye!
  10. I see it does say melting, but my guess is a pour pot. I'm sure if you email them for clarification they will get back to you in good time. I see they still send the 4794 preblend with that votive kit....EXCELLENT wax IMO. I've used it for 4 yrs now and would never change.
  11. Very very nice. Love the light pastels!
  12. You had better read that again....Peak's kit comes with a POUR pot, not melting pot. I prefer paraffin to soy also. I would suggest reading more about the characteristics of both waxes and then make a decision based on your research.
  13. Lovely E.....ash does not bother me either, but I've noticed I get it more consistantly when I avoid the jell stage with or without saran wrap on top. Interesting...
  14. That looks devine! Love the swirl.
  15. I had to catch my breath after that last batch of pic's...LOL Beautiful soaps!
  16. I could live with that....they look superb woman!
  17. E.....cut pics are where?
  18. At least your side by side attempt is better than mine....I've got 2 batches shredded & ready for rebatching because mine were just butt-ugly. I figure I'll try one more time and then nix the sbs method! Love the colors Kimberly
  19. You should be proud. Looks like a perfect swirl to me.
  20. I used to gear up too....looking like I was from some haz-mat team, but now I'm just cautious of my actions and mix away like it was nothing. You'll get the hang of it real soon. Your soap is lovely (I'm a white soap lover). Now get busy on that next batch
  21. Let me know how that turns out for you Meridith....I just made a batch of castile with 10% Mango 10% Castor & 80 OO....can't wait to try that soap, but I'd like to hear how you liked the babassu when you get to it.
