Trappeur
Does anyone have some great recommendations for a great orange clove? Also what about either maple sugar or maple syrup.I have quite a few of these and really none are really that strong....they are nice but could be much stronger. And what about a nice true clove? I just put Flaming Candles clove into wax and it smells awesome....so maybe it will be a good one. Thanks. Trappeur
earthfriendly
Hey Trappeur, you might want to try Maple Cashmere by Candlechem. They also sell on e-bay. I love it, it has a strong maple scent and great throw in C-3.
pcbrook
I have had a hard time finding a good strong maple too. WYW from BCN has a pretty good Maple Ginger that is strong but it is not a straight maple.
SuzyK
I'm no help but I was thinking I didn't need new fall fragrances but all of these posts about them are making me think that I do need more! Orange Clove sounds amazing.
ChrisR
I've used Sweetcakes Orange Clove for candles and CP soap and love it! It's strong, so usually 1/2 oz./lb works best in candles and 3/4 oz/lb in soap. I did have to wick up one size, but it's killer in tarts. Use full water in soap, cause it moves fast
kandlekrazy
I started mixing my own when Bert went out of business. Her's was over the top. If you have an orange or sweet orange that you like and clove fo's start with 3/4 orange to 1/4 clove. This is what I like but I like to really smell the clove.

Candybee
Fillmore has a very nice straight clove. I would mix this with orange chili pepper or straight orange.
