Let me show a little bit of my ignorance.....What is SFIC? Is that a brand? How do I know which base from peak is sfic?

I'm going to buy some m & p soap. This is going to be for my own personal use, but was wanting your opinion on a supplier and what your favorite base is. Thanks

Lebermuth charges 20.00 for orders less than $300.00? Did I read that correctly?

When was the last time you ordered from them? I'm wondering if they sent the wrong oil. It's so different from GL and JBN, but they were not really interested in exploring the possibility of an error on their part.

I thought the same thing when I saw everyone gathered around the table. They actually pay someone to pour the candle and someone to hold the ruler so they know where to stop pouring?? Packaging is nice, but I really don't like spending my $$ on nice packaging that I'm going to throw into the recycle bin or trash can. 9.8 oz candle sells for 20.00

I really don't like it when a supplier tells me it's the same when it's clearly NOT. Then they tried to tell me its because the oil I have is old, so the scent would change. I agree that some oils don't keep as long as others, but this is simply not the case with tuscan patchouli. She also told me they did not take over the whole product line, just the domain names. So , I will stop referring them when people are asking about GL or JBN. Funny thing is that I contacted this company back when they took over JBN, and they told me they would be carrying their oils. I like the tuscan patchouli they carry and will test it. It smells closer to Angel type to me. I just wanted to let you guys know, it's not the same.

Needed an oil from southwest candle so I ordered some tuscan patch at the same time. It is completely different from what GL and JBN sold. I'm travelling tomorrow, but will try to call and see when it changed or if the wrong scent was poured by accident.

I poured dragon's blood from Candle Science and Rustic Escentuals this weekend. Made votives and can't wait to test them. I used 1 oz. per pound.

Burning my votive this morning and it smells wonderful. It's in my office and it's carrying down the hallway. Will be pouring more moonworks testers today. I wish I had some of her patchouli. I do have patchouli passion, so that will have to do for now.

I used to buy the bulk of my oils from BCN. I've branched out and like Candle Science, Peaks and Rustic Escentuals. I too wish BCN was quicker with shipping and more generous with the free sniffie. That's why I'm loving RE. Two free one ounce samples with every order. Wax, wick and additives from Candlewic along with a few oils.

Hi tony, I used that from tradewinds also. It is not the same, but it smells nice. Brought in one votive last night and set it on my desk in the office, (where the big dog sleeps) and when I got up this am, I could smell it in the hallway, instead of my rotti :-) I just ordered a sample from RE also.

I finally got around to pouring my patchouli raspberry from Moonworks. I used 1/2 oz. per 8 ounces of wax. I hope this is a great fragrance and will throw well at that %. I don't mind paying for quality oils, but it has to throw at 1oz. pp or less. Will give it a few days and will repost.

I don't think that would work. Why don't you just buy colored incense? I know bcn has different colored scents and I'm sure you could find some on ebay also.

southwest candle supply took over most or all of the greenleaf & just by nature oils.

The jelly jars are about 2.5" I'll start with the 51 and see how that goes. I can get this wax local. It's just a pain to re-test everything. thanks

HorsescentS, Would you please give some recommendations on wick sizes? I use the 6 oz. jelly jars and the salsa jars that are about 3" in diameter.

There is someone on ebay that sells "jelly tarts" it comes in a bottle and you just squeeze it out into your melter. Wish I knew where to get it. It looks like a great new idea.

Well, now I've got to order some wax to try. I'm a zinc user, so that's good. I was going to start testing 4627 or 4630 but was hesitating due to posts about smoking and soot. I mainly pour the smooth jelly jars and salsa jars 12 oz and 16 oz. I've looked at their site before and it absolutely drives me crazy.

AAA carries the black lids also. They are cheaper than Fillmore.

Sissy's, which is now BCS carried the best patchouli I have ever smelled, next to the essential oil my neighbor wears, but we won't go into that!!! Back to the candle oil,,,, I have a pillar that is probably 5 years old sitting on my dresser that I made with that oil. I refuse to burn it since it is all I have left, but everytime I walk past it, I can still smell it. I'm going to pour my sample of moonworks pat passion this weekend.

Hey Steve, What color lids do those 16 oz. jars have?

So far, I've tested two oils @ 6% Pomegranate from lonestar and water blossom from BCN 44-20-18 zinc Both throw like crazy. Will continue to test and hopefully this wax will work for me. It would be nice to save on shipping!!!

Thanks for the info. They did remove my picture, but I'm going to check out that software. I'm getting ready to have all of my photos professionally shot and I do not want them to be used by someone else!!

Here's a tip: Occasionally I search the images of candles on google. This morning, I found one of my pics on someone elses site If you have an online presence, it may something you want to look at occasionally. Just hold your cursor over the image and you will see the site.

Thanks for the lead on General Wax. I've never purchased from them but those jars are exactly what I need.
