Awww thank you! I'm glad to be an inspiration. It was a dream of mine from the beginning to have my labels look the way they do. I was in business for about 2 years before I dove in and did it. I knew it would be a lot of work so it took forever to get motivated. I design the labels myself and print them from home.

These are pictures from my show a couple of weeks ago. I think next year I'm going to get a double booth, I'm running out of room!

I use the base from NG. I really like it and a lot of my customers do as well. I do get the occasional person that doesn't like it but that's normal. I have 3 boys and it works well to get rid of whatever it is living inside of them that makes them smell like that. lol. I haven't tried any other bases so I don't have anything to compare it to. It takes scent well but it separates so it needs to be shaken before using. I actually just walked into my bathroom after one of my boys used it and they must have sprayed because it smelled like Monkey Farts and not whatever they had just done in there.

Lol. I know! I had 2 people over the weekend who said Is it playdough? I had at least 5 signs that said Soy Wax Melts and people were like what are these?

It's funny what people will say! I'm keeping a mental list of what people think my wax melts are upon first glance, I've gotten lip balm, soap, lotion and playdough. lol. I would LOVE it if my little shows brought in that much.

$1,000 in a 6 hour show! That's incredible. It's crazy how some can be good and some not so good. This last weekend all the customers were amazing and so complimentary of my products. This is a handmade only show so it's awesome. I did one show a few weeks ago and had a super rude lady totally put down (very loudly) my wax melts because they weren't Scen*sy. She said all other wax melts have ruined her warmer and I assured her these wouldn't. That most of my customers use scentsy warmers and they work just fine in them. She was like "that's what they all say" She said she bought ones from wal-mart and they ruined her warmer and I said, Well, these aren't from Wal-mart. And she just walked away in a huff. SOME PEOPLE! I've had a small slew of bad reviews on Etsy and I sometimes wonder if it's competitor's friends trying to ruin my shop. I totally understand that not everyone will love my products but sometimes the things they say make me wonder.

I finished doing my shows for the season this weekend too! I'll upload pics once I get them from my friend. I'm sorry it wasn't a good one. It's hard when shows don't go well. The setup looks great Being right in front would be tough. The one I just finished had about 250 vendors, it's a huge show and I was pretty much in the middle. Next year I'm getting a bigger booth.

Yay! Looks great. I learn something new with each show I do. I love them even though they are a lot of work.

So, I just got a message on facebook from a good friend of mine saying, hey this is so cool. It was this video! I said no no no no!

My favorite part of articles is always the comments. lol. Half the time, I'll see a headline and I won't even read the article but will go straight to the comments because people can be such humans sometimes. lol. Yes, some of the comments in this one are jaw dropping. I'm like, people, have you ever used a crayon! My favorite one is "Or you can just go buy lipstick" lol.

I'm a pretty sarcastic person but I'm being serious. lol There's a comment in the comments section that warns everyone that it's not a good idea and they give all sorts of good info and other people are jumping all over that person.

Whaaaat?! I find it funny that someone had the common sense to say all the real info and people are jumping all over that person. Seriously people!

Busy weekend for everyone. Mine has been super busy too. I had (for the 3rd saturday in a row) a show. This one was pretty good. Not as good as I was hoping but it's always good getting my name out there more locally. I made almost 10x the booth fee so yay. Then today was church and then lunch at church then meeting at church.I have a HUGE show in a couple of weeks and I'm working on getting ready for that this week. Plus, Thanksgiving in between. I'm a little tired.

LOVE THEM! They are so pretty. I have a few of mine that I don't dye and I think they are just so pretty that way. But I also love color.

They do have a facebook page and have quite the following. Prepare to be amazed.

That is a really low price for body butter. My 4 oz jar is $9. I'd love to charge more, that stuff is expensive and time consuming to make. I love it though! I wouldn't lower your prices. I know there are people who go to craft shows looking for a bargain and I just know those people aren't my target market. OR they're looking for Scentsy and they're die hard fans even though I know mine are way way better. There was a Scentsy rep at one I did a week ago and she had 3 or 4 warmers going and I couldn't smell them at all and I was near her. I had forgotten to ask for electricity at that one. I've done 2 shows so far and they haven't been great. Very low attendance. Though I've made money at both of them, it's almost not worth the time involved and having to find someone to watch my kids for the day. I have another one this Saturday. I've done this one before and I did really well. My last one for the season is the first weekend in December and that's a HUGE show. I have a lot to do to get ready for that one still.

Thanks! I haven't sold a full set in the tin but I've already sold a few of them individually. I had a craft fair today and should have made some up but I didn't. I have another show next Saturday and then a 3 day one in December. Lip balms sell really well for me at shows and having fun names help.

I have to share my latest lip balms. I had so much fun coming up with names and mixing flavors to go with them. I have a long list of fun names but I'm saving the others to add next year. I'm selling as a set and individually.

She was really in the dark because she made it clear after I asked her that she was talking about wax melts and not candles. She said she had heard that people have problems with soot even with wax melts. I said I had never heard of that problem and I don't know anyone who has had that problem.
