  1. I make round bubble bars and I use cello bags to package them. I use the 1/4 cup measuring cup to make them.
  2. I also do consignment and it's been very good for me. Congrats and good luck!!
  3. I tried the crumble, takes too much time, wax brittle is much easier and less messy.
  4. Thanks! I picked up some regular size TP at the store, 4 rolls for $1! Figured I can sell the dipped TP for about $7.00 a roll and make a nice profit!
  5. I used a silicone round mold, I think it has 6 cavities. I got a loofah log from the local store and sliced it. I laid in the loofah slice and poured MP soap over the top. The loofah slices maybe are an 1/2" to an 1" thick.
  6. Okay, question. This would be dead sea salt that one would scent for bath salts? For bath salts I use soap dye and body safe oils. Mine is a fine grain sea salt but they also sell a more coarse grain sea salt too. I've tried that crystal rock potpourri and it wasn't that great.
  7. Trying out the dipped TP for a craft show on Saturday. Apple Pie (red ribbon) and Clean Cotton (white ribbon) I packaged them in 4x4 clear boxes and will sell them with a rustic tins that I got from C&S.
  8. I'll inject the arms, the legs, the head and the belly area. You have to use bears or critters stuffed with poly-fiber, not the beads. Since C&S is so close to where I live, I get my bears from them. But I have ordered bears from Bitter Creek before.
  9. I use about an ounce of FO per bear, just so the fabric on the nose and paws aren't soaked with oil. After I scent them, I put them in a cello bag and tie it shut. I have a couple scented bears that were scented back in June and are still very fragrant.
  10. I dip wooden clothespins. I use Ecosoya PB wax and FO. I package them in cello bags of 10 pins per bag. I also make scented bears, but I don't dip them in wax, I inject them with FO using a needle and syringe.
  11. I use base from Peaks and I don't have to add any other ingredient. I get great lather and bubbles as is.
  12. I just ordered some tart/candle combo warmers from CandleWarmers.com They have a minimum but I mixed and matched combo warmers to reach the minimum of 6. They're pretty good with shipping too.
  13. Also if you sign up for the email newsletter and register at Soap Making Resource, they will give you a new customer code for a discount on your first order!
  14. I've used plastic molds and silicone molds and now I've invested in a wooden mold. I love the silicone molds, they are easy to use and easy clean up. I bought a wooden mold with a cutter and I love it! I got the 2lb wooden box and can get about 8 bars, 1 inch thick. You have to line the mold with freezer paper or Saran wrap each time you pour. Each bar is about 3.5" x 2.5" http://www.soap-making-resource.com/wooden-soap-molds.html
  15. Thanks! You are going to have so much fun with MP soap! I can't wait to see the soaps you make!
  16. I got my FOs from NG yesterday and I just had to make a couple MP swirl soaps today. Fruity Loops (NG's Fruity Rings) Peppermint Stick (RE's Peppermint Swizzle Stick FO) Moon Flower (NG)
  17. I don't use Peak's FOs and I could be here all day making suggestions for NG. Most of the NG oils I use, I use in soaps or soy wax tarts. NG Honey Almond Lemon Sugar Raspberry Lemonade Mandarin Coconut Snow Angels Toffee Apple Crunch Pink Sugar Type Bubblicious - smells just like Bazooka bubble gum Honeydew Pear Fruity Rings With NG, I can shop there all day long, they are my main supplier for FOs for soaps.
  18. My soy candles are dye free, and because I personally don't like colored candles. I make colored candles if requested or if I'm making soy candles with the hand etched jars I have a local artisan make for me, but normally, all my candles are dye free. Without dye I have less headaches with candle tops, color fading, and frosting.
  19. Country Christmas is a good one. I also use Peppermint Swizzle Stick, Frosty Pines, Frosted Winterberry (smells like sugar & berries), and Mittens & Mistletoe is my favorite from RE/AH!
  20. I buy my unscented liquid soap from Amazon. I buy it in the big Dr. Bronner's 32oz size bottle. http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Bronner-Organic-Unscented-Baby-Mild/dp/B000HK1OOY/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1321215140&sr=8-6
  21. Very nice display! What kind of risers are you using for your candles?
  22. The shows that I've been doing have table fees $15 to $25, I don't see paying more than that for 8ft or 10ft of space to bring in only $150 for an 8 hour day. The two day shows I do are 3x a year and normally Saturday is better than Sunday. Soaps and tarts are selling better than candles, I sell more candles at the consignment shop than I do at the craft shows. I had a show yesterday, 13 vendors, 6 of them were jewelry, 1 Scentsy, and I was the only one who had 'handmade' products. I think I sold $20 of product but had a few who seem promising for future orders. It was a church craft show and I paid $15 for an 8ft table. The show I did last weekend, 65 vendors, and I brought in $150 and paid $25 for a 12x12 space. I just don't know what the show will bring until I do the show, and many of them I am doing are my first time at the shows, so it's going in blind and not knowing what to expect. I hate not knowing what to take and how much of it, but I learned yesterday if I don't bring it, I can't sell it. Yesterday, I had some who wanted something that I make but couldn't bring it with me cause of lack of table space. I try to cover my cost for the space fee and anything over that makes me happy.
  23. These are my body powder or body dust shaker jars and I sell these for $3.50 each. I paid $1 for each glass jar at the dollar store.
  24. I use a tabletop spinner rack for my clamshells. The rack has 6 arms, 3 on top and 3 on the bottom and both sets of arms spin separately. https://www.storesupply.com/pc-12735-840-2-tier-spinner-rack-26-dia-60190.aspx
