  1. I should add that they were "chopping mats" and are two per package not three. They are clear and had no problem with the heat of insulated cp soap.
  2. I found them at Ace Hardware in the very front of the store with the dollar items. They were more than a dollar though, more like 1.50 for a three pack. I got them for my pvc pipe molds. Used them once so far and it went well. Had to trim a couple inches off to accommodate my mold height.
  3. The INCI on the batch I just ordered says aloe leaf extract and coconut oil. I guess the extract must be miscible with the coconut. A fair amount of folks have trouble tolerating coconut so that would be a definite problem. I use the aloe butter in my lip balms and have never had a complaint but may be just lucky. I quit using coconut in my soaps partly for that reason.
  4. I haven't done these in a couple years. Planned to do them this season an then....oh well next season. I think mine had dendritic salt in them that kept it flowing. Am preparing for a big show so can't dig around now but have a lot of info and will try earnestly to look for it after this coming weekend.
  5. Those are lovely. I would be looking for more profit but am considering lowering my price some. Thanks for sharing.
  6. It is about .50 plus the shakers are 1.30 including shipping. Next to no time to put it together and slap a label on. At 6.00 it is a good margin but I'm not sure That I can realistically get that. So if they don't sell I haven't made a profit. I could always put them in baskets if they don't sell.
  7. Looking for what others are charging for body powder. The shaker holds about 3 oz of product. I did a search within bath and body but this did not come up. I sold it years ago for 6.00 but with the economy was thinking of lowering it some. Ideas? Thanks
  8. I use cyclo, FCO, jojoba & FO. With the price of jojoba I may be re thinking that this season.
  9. Thanks Kitn. Perhaps the actual amounts is not a big deal with the arnica as I thought as long as it is not used on open skin.
  10. Looking for a reliable resource for amounts of dry arnica flowers to amount of oil. In other words the concentration of the resulting infusion. I have read that arnica infusion should not be above 20% in the finished product and that the flower to oil ratio is important in preparing the infusion but no where can I find those infusion amounts. I am looking to make some arnica sticks and just want to be sure I stay within the recommended guidelines. Thanks for any help.
  11. You can also try printing on vinyl labels. I use them for ink jet on any product that will be in the bathroom and they work well. I use the online labels and have an hp printer. A couple of containers I have myself and just refilled have had labels that have been in place for several years. Eventually they faded a bit but anything a consumer is using won't last that long. I find they are worth the money. Just another option for you.
  12. I find that Lotion Crafter generally has the best prices. Her quality and service are superb. I just wish they were closer to the east coast but she does ship the most economic way for the distance. K
  13. I haven't looked for different colored caps since this past Oct. but spent hours and found virtually none. I ended up using the clear plastic rollons from Elements for the lava gloss. I packaged them in the cello bags from AC Moore using their weekly half price coupons. I made a fold over band for the top which I stapled in place. They looked quite nice if I must say so. The perfume rollons I did in the glass purple roll on also from Elements and just labeled them with the stick on labels. The ingredients for those easily fit on one of the address size labels. It would have been difficult to confuse the two products.
  14. I made them for the first time to sell at a Nov show. I sold out of them-pre teens and teens mostly. I did them all in sugar cookie flavor from Oregon Trails. It is pre sweetened. A friend talked me into trying them.
