Just chiming in; I use fresh milks in my M&P; have bars that have been setting wrapped tightly for over a year as a test. No discoloration, no mold, no rancidity. I'm pretty positive that if you don't overload the base then the preservatives it has can cover it. Just sayin'.
Thanks, Maggie. I do plan on putting the instructions on a hang tag. I think I'll do the plates on my retail bears, but skip it on the wholesale accounts.
This is the first batch of bears for me. Can anyone tell me the size cello bag I need for these? I need them big enough to allow for a big bow and hang tag. These are the 6" scraggle bears, and I also have the 7.5" and hope one size sack can do double duty. TIA
Super great! Try to talk to everyone and show off your handmade and personal take on the sale; people like to have their pocketbooks stroked, and your claims can be legit! Good luck. Put a business card in every hand you touch, and don't be afraid to reach out and shake hands...it's still good form.
I meant the jelly jars using standard lids and caps; no savvy saver could throw that away; I dishwash and reuse ours all the time. Sorry for the confusion. I buy glass and lids separate so that some multi-task.
Do you mean the 2 piece lid and jar? I doubt customers give a care, but I bet the combo is so much more valuable (Sustainable) since you can reuse for canning, etc. The pewter tops I use are not air, liquid, or canning safe.
I'll be looking for a full report! I poured some Strawberry Cheesecake lip balm yesterday...I already am missing the summer fruits. I have a Strawberry jam that is ok in soy, but I'm looking for something richer and more bakery type. Is it SS?
Last year they sold the CC jars for $1.00 each, and they usually had coupon codes in my email; at one point I bought the lid and jars for .75 each. Then the price jumped to 2.99 per CC jar. (I had planned to completely discontinue the size, but my customers are flipping out over it.) This is an online special they are running on the 12 pc sets, so not sure of sale end date.
Thanks, everyone, for the kind words. I'm working on a Rice Petal & Shea Butter loaf and a Peaches & Cream loaf tonight; I'll post pics when cut if they come out ok.
I'd say definitely a latte with the gorgeous cream on top! I'm a coffee junkee with a $100 a month Keurig K cup habit, and this would definitely be a designer latte in a gourmet coffee shop. Beautiful!
