  1. They look amazing! I have this project on my to-do list...thought I'd try it in the scored square mold and intersect the circles. I sooo love your work. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Zap it with the heat gun. There is a good SoapQueen tutuorial on you tube somewhere that shows how to do it. Then put your sticker over the back side. HTH Here's the link.
  3. I just took a peek at your FB page. You are obviously trying hard at this. Have you considered mastering a container candle before trying out other types? I think if you go back to basics and start with wax, wick, and fire, you will find a way to work it out. The chandlers and soapers here are the most talented bunch...but you have to give details to get help. We all use different products, but there are some basic rules that hold true that you can find here. Don't give up. There are people here that will assist you...just let us know your wax blend, your fo load, and size wicking and jar, and you will be amazed at the help you will receive as well as valuable direction to the older forum posts. DON'T QUIT!!!
  4. Wow...those look so yummy. Beautiful!
  5. Lisa...those are awesome! I adore the Neapolitans...look good enough to eat!
  6. Thanks everyone, for the kind words! I'm planning to make a few batches today...time to put my creativity cap on and brew up a new project
  7. I know I should do a search, but please bear with me as I fried my keyboard and am using the onscreen keyboard via clicking to type (hell for me, as usually type over 72 wpm) and just can't access my desktop because I changed the password and can't find my notes right now. I'm looking for an Oreo type FO that is skin safe. Any ideas, and if you post a link I can just click I am sure good karma will find you!:lipsrseal
  8. Thanks, everyone! After a couple years of reading all the great help and drooling over the gallery, I am now feeling some confidence and had successful sales with every type so far; there are no pics of the Oatmeal, Goat's Milk & Honey bars as they sold out and I have a bunch of orders to fill for them this week. Thanks for looking, everyone.
  9. We think it smells like Fruit Stripe gum...the kind with the zebra and the tattoos on the wrappers? Kids love it!

  11. Essentials By Catalina. They are in Cali.
  12. Both you mentioned are excellent, and I also recommend her Blueberry Muffins, White Cake, and Love Spell. I can't keep those three in stock! HTH
  13. What if you froze it? Frozen solid, then crack it like a Charleston Chew?
  14. I've used this site and these jars for a couple years now. Once you are registered with the site, you will receive emails every few months with discount codes. I think at one point last year I used one for 30% off, and I think it was around the 4th of July. I'm doing my paperwork next week, so I'll try to see what price I paid at what time of year. I usually order at least 10 dozen, and only 1 jar has ever arrived damaged. I love the flared 8 oz...just not sure how I would do packaging on it.
  15. Paul, This is where I buy pipettes...super cheap. I use them for my liquid dyes for candles and soap, and also for measuring FO. HTH. http://www.marketlabinc.com/product.asp?strParents=1329,1330,1458&CAT_ID=1459&P_ID=5649&numSearchStartRecord=1 I have several FO's with the flip top lids; no leakage, but still kind of hard to be precise with.
  16. I just couldn't bring myself to add the word "fart" to my product line. After much debate we have decided on either "Tutti Frutti" or "Tootie Fruity". This spring will be our introduction of this scent. It was purely a business decision to keep from dealing with the issue your vendor is having; one of the day spas that sells our product is just way too classy for me to send them product with potentially offensive wording. Now, just so you all know, I am not a prude...Sex on the Beach is how I got my oldest son!:laugh2::laugh2:
  17. Maybe a fresh new start with a fresh new name is what you need! I'm feeling some slight burnout/lackadaisical attitude, but I think I'm just physically and emotionally tired out. Jump on your new found energy, and keep us posted. I love when others are brave enough to out their troubles, and learn from the successes. Good luck!
  18. I embedded clear glycerine into a LS white base enriched with shea and castor, and it has held up fine so far (few weeks). I think it would work out. Keep us posted.
  19. What a lovely candle. Thanks for sharing!
  20. Hugs, Paul. It was an issue I faced with them a couple years ago from a 2 pound brick. I jumped ship then and have hunted down the SFIC, best change I ever made in that area. Good luck.
  21. Can you suspend sugar (fire, fire! hot, hot!) in gel candles? I've never tried them. I know the non-pareils (sprinkles) work in soy...but this is a bit different. Is it gel? To me, it looked like hardened whipped petroleum jelly...if you can imagine that. Say you took a tub of Vaseline and whipped air into it? That's what it looked like...big bubbles. Rough top, and way off center huge wick.
  22. I was at Walgreens today and found this. Retail was $10.99, I think. I didn't have my glasses with me, so I couldn't read the bottom label, and didn't think to snap a pic of it when I shot these with my phone. What is this?
