  1. I let m/p cool at room temp, then I take the loaf from the mold and let it set for a day to prevent smudging when I shrink wrap it. Crumbling makes me think maybe you let your base get too hot?
  2. NG's Acqua Di Gio dupe is dead on and throws like crazy. It's one of our top sellers year round. They also have a nice scent called Glacier Falls; I believe it is an Old Spice Red Zone type scent. Both are amazing in our soy and in m&p.
  3. Hey, Dean. You don't state your location. Is it possible you were pouring those during a different season and in a different climate? I would guess they cooled too quickly and cracked. AC can wreak havoc on pouring results. Do you keep a standard room temp for pouring year round if climate is a factor?
  4. Tested Southern Scentsations "Grandma's Zucchini Bread" last month; more a bakery creamy scent than strong spice notes. It threw great hot and cold in our soy.
  5. Agree with either alcohol, or an ammonia based window cleaner wipe down. Also, I "warm" up the back sides of the labels a bit by rubbing my hands over them; it seems to make the adhesive stick better. HTH
  6. I am so intrigued; I hate Watermelon anything...except the real thing, and I think your mix might work for me. Lovely, and such gorgeous color!
  7. I had a girlfriend that used to make freezer corn using a 1lb butter, 1 pint half and half, 1 9 x 13 pan of corn kernels (fresh off the cob). This smells similar; she would bake it off for an hour or so before freezing.
  8. Re: Sugar Corn Pudding A sweet creamed corn, to me. Agree, but I definitely get a bakery scent out of it. It's one of those scents that you don't think are going to be well received, and then it shocks the sh*t out of you and sells like hotcakes. We even ran this on a couple spring fundraisers, and it sold great.
  9. Hard to negotiate with their promise of custom sizes. Give it a go; they look sturdy and reasonably priced.
  10. Hi, Suzy. When I do embeds and such, I omit the FO from the clear layer, as many will discolor or cloud the clear base. Are you using fragrance?
  11. They look gorgeous, Suzy! I got two new flavor oils to test this month; Lemon Cheesecake and Almond Biscotti. Excited to try them both. Good luck with your spring sales; your products look great~ Brandy
  12. AH/RE smells like Play-Doh to most of my testers; they all agreed it was a good childhood memory type scent. I picked up the Play-Doh scent more when I put it in M&P than in the soy, where I did get the fruity smell of overly sugared artificially fruit flavored cereal (I detest Fruity Pebbles, Froot Loops, Trix, etc). It had decent CT and HT at 1 oz PP, but I doubt I'll order any more...it just didn't crank my toy much.
  13. Impact has a 2 case (875 pieces each case) minimum at $140 per case. So far I've liked theirs the best of the ones I've used. I think we opened our last case this month and will probably be reordering soon as we have a couple fundraisers coming in this week that will run us low. Let me know if you decide to host a co-op!
  14. I have what some (the sane) would consider too many vanillas, but have to agree that Vanilla Voodoo is the supreme ruler of my vanilla world.
  15. Maybe this is nuts, but I would have gladly shared my photos, until a local competitor used our product photos as her own without permission and as misrepresentation. Had she been able to recreate my soaps, I would have gone after her for that. But to use my photos and try to sell her sub par soaps as my pretties, HELL TO THE NO!
  16. I'm going to pour test tarts in soy this weekend of CS Pom Cider. I have a wicked cold and have no sense of smell right now, but I'll send you a sample if you want to try it. I plan to pour at 1 oz/pp to start. PM me your addy if you are interested. Then maybe you can tell me how it smells until this cold takes leave
  17. Can't speak for the C & S. I bought the sampler from AH/RE; they are nice and work great in clear, but they do bleed. HTH
  18. We blast them with the heat gun on low. HTH
  19. Purple Cow from AH/RE. It smells just like the ice cream.
  20. Just so it is clear, I posted this as a free Kindle download. Please don't trash me regarding the methods or recipes used on the video. I don't do cp.
