  1. Last night/ this morning haha I waited until they were cooled but warm- then snapped them shut and stacked them up. I see no difference in them. My next batch I will try to close them while they are liquid-y... so long as I do not spill them I am hoping it should be fine. I really wanted to avoid knocking into the open lid, or something similar. Just wanted to see if anyone had experience with closing them early...
  2. We currently wait until the wax has completely cooled to snap the tops shut. Does anyone here close them when they are still melted? Aside from possibly spilling the wax while you close it, any problems with doing this? Or with waiting until the wax has at least formed skin?
  3. Exactly. There are many people who buy Yank** and spend wayyy too much on party lite having parties. I went to one party lite party and the candle quality was horrible and they were extremely expensive. But, people were spending money on them... A lot of people buy just because they feel obligated to. Good luck and let us know how it goes!!
  4. Are we talking about the mold that looks like a little petri dish?
  5. The one on the bottom, with the large heart... beautiful...
  6. You may receive more responses if you post this in the soy/ veggie wax forum... HTH:p
  7. Speaking of animals.... above all scents, one of my dogs LOVE LOVE LOVE baby powder candles! He sticks his nose right in the jar and inhales sooo deep! Like on that febreeze commercial! So cute!
  8. love bamboo, monkey farts and georgia peach. aztec has pretty good HT
  9. After a couple of requests for this I purchased some FO. Don't like it OOB but hopefully HT will be nice. :rolleyes2
  10. Although samples may help to increase business, I don't find them to be necessary. Fundraisers for popcorn, candy, wrapping paper even, just have pictures and descriptions. You don't sample the popcorn- you just assume by the description and pictures. If you decide to limit the scents offered, maybe purchase inexpensive small tins/containers that you fill with the scented wax. This would be time consuming on your end and will increase your costs. Good luck!
  11. Bernadette- I am PMing you!
  12. This looks so Andy Warhol...! Care to share what mold you used? And does it have a wick hole?
  13. Hmmm, love this idea. Wondering if you put some mesh over the holes so the beads can't come out? Packaging wise- other than ribbon or hang tag, any ideas?
  14. I have to agree to an extent. I love smelling other candles and burn mine at work all the time. Great advertising and my co workers are always asking to see what new scents I have! But, I understand the comparison between candles and perfume. I generally do not wear perfume to work or wear a very light fragrance as I feel it unprofessional to make everyone smell my perfume all day. That being said, if the throw is that strong, it is probably not appropriate for the work place. I would not feel embarrassed, but if I were you I would reconsider my behavior. BUT..... Good work on have an excellent HT!!
  15. My fav lav vanilla is candlemakersstore.......
  16. These would be so cute for birthday party favors or baby showers!!
  17. I see this in an entirely different light... I do not see the store telling you how to run the webstore, but we are talking about everyone making profit here... from their aspect it is NOT a good business move for them to "mark up" your product. It is a make or break type of thing... Compare the sales you will make in a B&M store with the sales for this particular product on your website... You mentioned you do not sell that much from the site; I would either remove it from the site for a trial period and/or remove the web addy from the product. JMHO
  18. Yes, I currently use Peak for my LS but always love to try new suppliers... The silicone molds did look pretty good price wise. I know they look to see if they can price match so I wonder about that. I was just shocked. $17 for a pound shipped is not bad at all- if it is good fo, but $36?!?!? :laugh2::laugh2:
  19. Hi everyone, looking to try WSP for fo but for the most part, their oils seem kind of pricey!! Their love spell is $36 for a pound! I understand shipping is included in the price, but NO WAY can I see paying that much! Am I missing something here?? Some 1 pound bottles are $17, but a lot of them are $36... Are people really buying these $36 bottles? I like to buy 1 pound bottles to test/mix, etc...
  20. Same here!! It sells amazing... but I HATE IT!!! I find that CS LS does not smell that exact to me, I prefer Peak...
