  1. I see so many of you have websites. I wondering if you would recommend any designers?
  2. I think the image is very nice. And I agree with the others about playing with the font sizes and type. I don't think that by making your company name wavy gets you anything. A pretty font would give the label much more appeal.
  3. I sell 4 in a box and they are by far my most popular seller.
  4. uh oh. My bottle is from last year and I have no idea which one it is. Guess at this point I'll wait to order tomorrow. Thanks!!
  5. I have two favs - first above all else is Connies Pumpkin Pie Spice. The other is Fragrance Oil Heaven's. They are more on the spicy side, but Connies is smoother (if that makes sense).
  6. I'm trying to order it but she has two: one with a (M) in front. Does anyone know what this means? They aren't open now so I can't get an answer from them. My bottle from last year doesn't have the (M) but I also don't remember them having two choices.
  7. I just poured Gingerbread Village from Fragrance Oil Heaven. I'm not a big fan of the food FOs, but this one is pretty good. I take it back: my wholesale account just called and said they sold out of everything to the Dentist Convention except the Gingerbread Village. oops!
  8. Believe me, I wish it was that easy. I took all of my molds, none of which are new, sprayed them well with cleaner, wiped them out really well...got the holes. So for the next batch, I did nothing. Not even a wipe out. Holes. I'm pretty sure temperature isn't the problem since I've tried all ranges. At one point I thought maybe it was the FO - it was older. But the last batch was made with brand new FO. I don't want to keep belaboring this issue because clearly there is no easy remedy. I'll keep testing and when the holes disappear I'll let you all know what the magic solution is. Thanks for all the suggestions!
  9. Still trying to figure out the pinhole/small pits in the tops of my pillars. I just poured dark brown with a touch of black for one batch. They came out with lots of small holes on just the tops. I poured orange with a touch of brown and they came out with maybe one or two small holes in the tops. Same batch of wax and additives, different FOs. Could it be the brown? I use color blocks. This is driving me NUTS!
  10. I love Peak's Christmas FO's - last year I sold a ton of Red Clove, Spiced Cranberry, Mulberry, Spruce Christmas Tree. They're awesome!
  11. Are you using stearic? I've seen a post on here a long, long time ago (I think by Alan) who tested different percentages of stearic and showed a candle made by each percentage. I used 3% stearic for even mottling - I think above or below that might give you uneven, if that's what you want. Maybe someone else remembers the thread... Of course, if you want solid, there's always vybar... HTH
  12. Tapping the mold? Or just accept and love them as part of a "rustic".
  13. I'm going to try not heating the votive molds and pouring cooler. We don't have the AC on so it's not cold. Still not sure what to do about the pillars. It's definitely not how I pour so it's got to be the temp. Will keep you posted. Thanks for your help!
  14. Ok, first in the pillars, can anyone tell me why I'd be getting pinholes just in the tops - no where else. I'm pouring slowly and at around 185-190 (1343). Then in the votives: In fact, I almost think it's actually the mold because I have one strip of votives from which I don't get any pinholes. I've tried pouring hotter, colder. No luck. Using 4794. Could the molds be reacting to the wax and FO? I'm stuck...and getting really behind on my orders. Any suggestions? TIA
  15. My votives have always had a little dip, which I'm perfectly happy with. You guys have flat top votives? How do you even get that? I do a repour when the votives cool, but I've never seen a flat top votive... which means, kjohnson, that I think it looks fine - I wouldn't remelt.
  16. Those are soooo cool! I missed the thread on how to do 'em, but I'll be adding those to my "must try" list soon!
  17. Yeah, I don't remember seeing photos of the process, just the end result. Sounded easy enough though.
  18. I know of www.mysurvey.com if you want one to compare.
  19. Those are cute! I'm wondering too - do they float?
