  1. Very nice! I've been away from candlemaking for a while now too and am getting the itch to return.
  2. That's really exciting - Congratulations!
  3. Hi everyone, I am in dire need of help: I am pulling my candle supplies from the cobwebs (and I'm sooooo excited!) to make a coworker a mantle candle (12" x 4" x 3") with 5 wicks for an office bridal shower. I haven't used this mold before. I don't even know where to begin with the wicks since I've never made a candle with more than one wick in it. Can anyone help - or even provide a formula for figuring it out? I have a decent variety of wicks on hand. Thanks so much! Stephanie
  4. I'm impressed! It certainly doesn't look like your first show. Your set up is really nice. I especially like your display for tealights. I've always had a hard time with those.
  5. Those look great! Did you have to adjust your wicking at all?
  6. Love them all! Amish Harvest is one of my favorites too. I never get tired of that one.
  7. Did you ever find a good dupe for this? I've recently discovered this fragrance and would love to make some candles and body spray.
  8. Forgive me if this was already mentioned, but you all wrote such detailed posts and it's late enough that reading is bound to put me to sleep. With that in mind, how about teas... bath teas, drinking teas, teacups, etc. I'm thinking about the entire spa/relaxing/bath experience. Whereas wine would be my choice of beverage , I'm sure many would adore a lovely cup of hot tea. Boy, that sounds nice right now! BTW, I'll be reading those detailed posts tomorrow. I KNOW there are great ideas there!
  9. I didn't do it with candles (go crazy buying stuff, that is), but I seem to be buying loads of B&B supplies that i have NO idea what to do with. So, it comes from every angle.
  10. So funny how everyone is different. I've used Peaks and 1/4 oz is all I can bear/bare(?). Not my favorite, but way too strong. mac apple is one that isn't strong enough!
  11. I had a request by my MIL for something spicey, Pumpkin Spice wasn't doing it, Chai Tea wasn't doing, among others. Sooooo, I combined the two and voila! a seller. I put the two, 50/50 at 1 oz and sniffed. Smelled fine to me. Did well enough in wax. One customer alone buys enough to keep me making it. Not into the q-tip. I need to get my nose in there! BTW, the two FOs are from different suppliers.
