  1. Thanks for all the advise. I do have Avery DesignPro and experimented with it tonight.....it worked!! I ran off a few copies of each and so far they look excellent and they are centered, etc. Thanks everyone!
  2. It has been a pain to say the least. I have looked at other places and may have to switch if I cannot get them to align. But I really like their glossy photo labels because they are not suppose to smear.
  3. Guava Green Tea from Rustic Escentual is great.
  4. Fillmore has a new Avocado Cilantro. Smells great oob, poured it today and will see how it turns out next week.
  5. Thanks for the input, I did notice that the sheets are not quite 8.5" wide so that might be my problem. I will notify them and see what they say.
  6. I have been playing around with labels from labelsbythesheet.com. I really like them but I am having trouble with their templates not aligning properly. I have used MS Work and Photoshop for years and have done a lot of printing using various templates and have never had a problem getting them perfect, but for the life of me I cannot get my graphics to be centered or aligned:confused:. They are either too far to the left, or after adjusting the spacing and margins they run onto the next label. I am really at a loss here, does anyone have any advise as to how to get their templates to align? TIA
  7. Kroger, Walmart and almost any large grocery carries them all year long. I did notice that Kroger has a much larger selection also. And Kroger has the wide mouth.
  8. Received mine from KY today and it smells really good and very close to the Candleberry one. I will pour it this weekend to see how it does.
  9. Fillmore Container has some really great fragrances, great customer service and quick service.
  10. Well today I kept walking by the Strudel & Spice and decided to give it one last burn...just to see if it would burn better. And it did. It was almost to the bottom but had more than1/2" left so I said what the heck. Now to see what the Cinnamon Stick will do...
  11. Thanks ChrisR. I was just kind of wondering. So far I have had great results with burn times--and having a a good clean burn. I too would never tell a customer a set amount of hours a candle would burn. When I test them I always keep track of how long they burn, the times etc. I asked just to get some feedback on what others using the same wax/containers get. Thanks!
  12. I was curious as to what everyone's burn times are for their soy candles. Hopefully I am in the right area when it comes to burn times for my candles. I use 415 with no dyes or additives. I do use UV inhibitor at the recommended manufacturers amount of 1 teaspoon pp. So far here is what I am getting: 8 oz jj 45-55 hours. 12 oz jj 60-75 hours. 7 oz frosted tumblers 40-60 hours. Just wondering if I am in the right ball park for my candles burn times. It seems I have a wide range, depending on the FO and wick. And I do use different % of FO and wicks depending on the FO I am using. Thanks!!
  13. That's a hell of a lot of cupcakes!!!
  14. I hope a CD14 will work with 6% FO. The first one I tested burned great with the CD14 until the last 2/3rds of the way down and then the flame was so tiny. There was some hangup but not a lot, it actually looked good until towards the end. I also had the same problem with CS's Strudel & Spice, it did the same thing. I agree with you Catlover, the Cinnamon Stick is a great FO, but I really would like one with a few different notes in it. So we will see. I did find a Zanzibar Clove from At Wix End that smells great, but it is discontinued. I may just go another route and try a cinnamon-nutmeg-clove combo. I di have a sample of Red Hot Cinnamon from CS I will pour this week to see how it fairs against the Cinnamon Stick.
  15. I know the Candlemakers Store carries it. I have been thinking about getting some to test for tarts also. http://www.thecandlemakersstore.com/category/waxesgels.natural_soy_waxes/
  16. That is why I am going back to the CD14 and reduce the FO to 6%, hopefully that will do the trick....hopefully!!
  17. Thanks for the suggestions. Like I posted earlier i am going to try 6% and a CD14 to see how it burns. The CD14 and the 7% burned fine until the last 3rd and the flame became too small. So I will see how that works. I would really like to find a more unique cinnamon fragrance so if anyone has a suggestion I would love to hear.
  18. You can get the shakers used in restaurants that are plastic, better change of not breaking when dropped. I think I saw some at Kmart a few weeks ago.
  19. Their Vanilla Bourbon is great also, tends to be more on the vanilla side but scented the entire house. I also found their Hot Maple Toddy did not throw in my soy wax also. Wish it did it smells good OOB. I did get a couple of their new fragrances this week, Winter Slendor smells great! And also the Weathered Crow smells GREAT OOB also. I will get around to testing them soon.
  20. Thanks Jennifer for the info. I was hoping to get some others to give me their feedback. I did burn it again and the brown color went away some and is smoother, but I thought it was strange. Anyone else have a thought?
  21. I really like the Golden Rose from CS. Great sent and does well in soy.
  22. I poured a cinnamon stick from CS a little over a month ago and used 7% FO with a CD14 in a 8oz. jelly jar and no dye. It burned fine until 2/3rd's of the way down and the flame was extremely small. It had great HT until that point. I am using 415. So a couple weeks ago I poured another cinnamon stick, 7% FO and used a CD16. Added the FO and poured at the same temps as before. Yesterday I decided to test it and it burned fine in 3 hours. I got up this morning and the top was brown, cauliflowery and really looked disgusting. So I lit it again this morning and it is still a ugly light brown. I am going to pour another one Thursday and use 6% FO with a CD14 again and see if I can get a consistant flame to the very end on the next test burn. My question is, what would cause this? I did notice it did have a lot of frosting and actually looked bad while it was curing--it didn't have the nice off-white color as the one before. I have attached a couple pics from this morning. TIA
  23. Actually the square footage would be less than 700SF, since the pool is a kidney shape, and assuming that the "corners" of the pool are round. It would be more like 475-550SF, once you take the curve and angles into account. HTH
  24. While looking around today, I came across Moonworks and they have a Tropical Element FO that sounds really great. Has anyone used it? Looks like I need to pull the credit card out...again!!
