  1. Thanks for the input. So far all of the ones I have tested with straight 415 are doing really well!
  2. Thanks for the info!! Off to order....more FO's...
  3. Thanks for the input, so far I have not had any complaints about using straight 415 to a few people I have given them to, and am actually getting very positive feedback.
  4. I have a request from a client who wants a Wedding Cake fragrance. Looking for one that is dreamy, mouthwatering and decadent and possibly over the top scrumptious. TIA
  5. I have read on here that some use 415 for tarts. I have started experimenting using 415 for clamshell tarts and was wondering if anyone has any tips using this wax. I know it is not a tart wax, but was wondering if I could use some USA and/or CO to get more of a tart wax. TIA
  6. When I started out testing different waxes, I thought for sure that I would like 464 the most and really wanted to work with that wax. But in actuality I liked working with 415 the best. The 415 did everything I wanted it to do, but did not have as good as luck with 444 or 464, so I have stuck with 415.
  7. I went in and it let me edit mine. They are usually good about responding to questions.
  8. Here is a link that explains the differences in easy to understand terms (which I like:cheesy2:) http://www.powerhomebiz.com/vol136/structure.htm
  9. Wondering how everyone likes the large 6oz. clamshells? How is the quality? I need to order some and really would like a larger capacity clamshell and I think 6oz would be ideal. TIA
  10. You need to go to your county auditor's office and get a State of Ohio, Department of Taxation Vendor's License. That way you are registered in your county. I am pretty sure that is the office you need, if not they will tell you. They should be able to answer any questions you may have. I think mine was around $35 or so. To pay your sales tax you pay it online through the state, I can't remember the website at this time. But your county auditor's office should know and can give you info. Hope that helps.
  11. I ordered a couple weeks ago on a Wednesday and I received my order the following Monday. I would call them, that is the quickest way to resolve it.
  12. I really think that it is the FO, especially ones with cinnamon, nutmeg etc. Wicking may be part of it but I have come to the conclusion that it's a lot about the FO.
  13. LOL - must have forgot. Filmore, just poured a tester late last week and so far the CT is great. I will light it later this week.
  14. I too love AH/RE FO's! Most of the ones I've tried are great.
  15. My new favorite is Vanilla Mint. Its such a great scent with just enough of each.
  16. try zapping the candle with a heat gun before doing the second pour. I have read on here that by having the 1st wax melted some will reduce the ring for the 2nd pour. I searched for it but could not find it. I do not do a 2nd pour with my wax but thought I would add my 2 cents.
  17. You can contact your insurance and ask them for a copy with what is being asked for. They should have the info or can direct you in the right direction.
  18. I use the CDs with 415 and have been testing 12oz smooth sided jelly jars and frosted 8 oz tumblers, but they are both only about 2.75" wide. I would think a CD14 would work. From what I have read on here it is difficult to single wick 100% soy in a container over 3". I know I probably did not help with your question but thought I would put in my 2 cents.
  19. I agree with ChrisR, as I mentioned earlier, I get mine at the CMS because they are local--along iwth my wax so I do not pay for shipping. From everything I have read all types of wicks are different from supplier to supplier.
  20. Have you tried wicking a smaller container to see how your CD wicks burn alone, instead of a container that needs to be double wicked?
  21. The Mango Cilantro is amazing. Smells sooooooo good!
  22. I get mine from the Candlemakers Store and I also use 415. I am happy with the results so far.
  23. elfcat, let me know what you think of the vanilla bourbon from CMS. I tried it but cold only smell mostly the vanilla had a great HT though. Maybe its just me, I use 415 and have had a hard time finding a good bourbon.
  24. I have Peppermint & Cypress and their Oak Moss. I poured the Oak Moss and it is really nice. Peppermint & Cypress smells good oob, but I went with a different vendor. I think you did good.
  25. I think it looks great! Love the colors, I wouldn't mind having 1 or 2 of those.
