  1. Thought it was funny, and I was wondering when I would receive something like this. They did say they LOVE my shop...funny I have no brick and mortar store only wholesale and online. LOL Here is the how to participate page: http://www.sweetdelight.ca/howtoparticipate.html
  2. Wondering if anyone has heard of this company from Canada. I received an email asking for free samples ("25 but 40+ would be better") to put in baskets that they will sell. I did check out their website, blog, etc etc. I saw on their blog that a lot of different companies have given before. But our policy is no free samples, wholesale yes....free samples no. Just wondered if anyone else has received this email. We have started receiving a lot of "funny" emails lately, I think it's because our google ranking has gotten much higher, but it also brings to crazies out too!!
  3. Mine should be here today, but we will see after all the snow..
  4. Where did you get the warmers from? Did you check their website, or, check the manual or paperwork that came in the box if any came with them. Is the bulb a halogen or incandescent? You might try Lowes, Menard's or Home Depot. They carry a much broader range of bulbs that Walmart, Kmart etc.
  5. I was wondering about that, even thought about a heavy-duty embosser. Kyme where did you get your "branding" thingy at? I would google it if I know what the correct name of it is. lol I think you answered that in another thread, but could not find it.
  6. Let me know what you find out. I may go with an embosser instead of a custom shape. Is susie in Ohio?
  7. I tell my customers to throw it in the trash, we use 415 and its bio-degradable.
  8. I just went by what the site said 1000min. for 3 or more colors or custom shapes. What about getting an embosser with it on it.
  9. Here is a place that can do custom shapes, not sure what their minimum is (I think 1000, but haven't searched their site for awhile). http://www.wicks-wax-scents.com/airfresheners-instruction.html
  10. Maybe the wax was too hot? I have read on many of the vendor sites not to pour over 150*.
  11. I was on candlewarmers.com last week and they are adding a lot of new designs in the next few months. So they might having something similar.
  12. Kyme, did you use the Bendel Bean in candles? Wondering how it did.
  13. I think Filmore Container has an Olive Blossom, I have a sample but have never poured it...yet. And they have another Olive, I think its Olive Tree.
  14. We use quite of few of their FOs and are very pleased, like Spa, Mahogany Spice, HB's Pomegranate ad a few that come to mind. And they do have great customer service. So now I need to get a few more samples to test.........
  15. I noticed that the 415 went up $4 a case at the CMS a couple months ago. I found out that the fluxuation in soy prices is because of futures (Chicago Merc). So it all depends on potential yield per acre, etc. But still the CMS has the cheapest price per 50lbs that I have found, plus they are within driving distance for us.
  16. You can get the 415 to look very, very nice. Just takes some working at. And zapping the tops with a heat gun only take a few extra seconds. I tried the 464 when we were testing different waxes and thought that would be the one we would use, but the 415 did better in our environment and had better ht & ct. IMO
  17. I have always had great customer service with them. They are extremely nice and I use a few of their oils and get all my wax, jars, clamshells etc from them. We have all probably ordered from other suppliers that do have descriptions, and when received was disappointed in either the strength or the smell OOB.
  18. We actually offer both a 12oz jj for those who want more of a country look and a 7oz. tumbler for those that want a more modern look. In the rural areas the jj's outsell the tumblers 10-1, but there are some people that want something more modern. In urban areas tumblers outsell the jj's, but it depends on the retailer also. But each collection is marketed differently, the jj's are all about country scents and the tumblers are spa and upscale fragrances. And we do not offer the spa line in jj's and vice versa. A lot of it depends on packaging and marketing. We spent literally hundreds of hours designing and creating our labels, packaging and website. We met with primitive shop owners, spa and salon owners, upscale boutique owners, museums etc and got their feedback on our presentation and packaging. And the feedback we received was great, we tweaked certain things to achieve our final design. In doing this it has helped us go head to head with the big candle companies, in may of the retailers we are in we are right next to Candleberry, McCalls and Yankee and we do very well. Its always nice to see the Candleberry rep smelling our candles. We have a growing wholesale business, and we do select craft fairs and festivals and we always sell our candles and melts at the same price as you will find in a retailer that carries our line (although we do have specials, 3 for $X, and 4 melts for $X). At some of these festivals and fairs there are other soy candles that are alot cheaper than us, but we do a great business because we market ourselves as a premium artisanal candle company. People can tell the difference and see the time we have spent on our candles and most choose to go with us, and they come back also. It comes down to quality, presentation and taking the time to research where to find the best containers. When we first starting researching containers i had a huge list of the ones I wanted, but the shipping would have drove our wholesale price up to the point that it would not be feasible. We get our containers locally, but for 2 months I was having our jj's shipped from Cleveland and wanted to increase our profit margin so after alot of googling, phone calls and research we found a local supplier that carried the same jj's.
  19. Yes you can. You still need to CV code and you also need a signature.
