  1. Well, I have heard this for quite some time. I don't know if it works but I have tried mixing the two. It actually smells really good. I'm not a big lavender fan. But the two together smell wonderful. Haven't added it my line yet. Need to tweek the wicking. I used perfect pumpkin and peak lavender.
  2. Which do you feel is better in candles (I use 6606) nag Champa from Tony's of Peaks. I have Tony's curing right now. Didn't seem terribly strong when I poured it. Now the Dragon's blood did. Looking forward to burning and both and trying. Was just wondering about the conparison of Peaks thought after reading people liked peaks. Thanks!
  3. Well, I'm not sure what's going on. I tried pouring AH , NG, and Candle Science again at a lower percentage (6%). Then tried all using all different sizes of wicks. Nothing. Then tried NG again at at 7%. Nothing. I don't get it. I do smell NG quite a bit when I put it out but only then. I have a customer that has requested this scent. In the past she comes to my yearly Christmas open house and buys lots of pine and lots of Snowtop toasted almond and cherries but has said if I coud find a black cherry she's buy them all up. I guess I'll have the snowtop for for her again. Was just hoping I'd get a BC for her this time. I may have to try some other ones but it won't be in time for Open House. I don't usually buy any of my oils fro AH, CS, or NG so maybe that's the problem. But I've also never bought from candlewic, the candlemakers store, or Millcreek. The only thing I buy from JS is Chestnuts and Brown Sugar. I have good luck with Peaks, WSP, FOC, some Flickers, some WYW. Thank you everyone for trying to help. I appreciate it.
  4. Does candlewic have sample sizes and I'm just not seeing them on their site?
  5. You know what? I've tried all those listed. But I'm pouring them at a higher FO load than you are. I usually use 8 - 9 %. Maybe I need to try all of them again at a lower %. They are burning well. Just not throwing. I usually get a really great throw with this wax. I'll try that. Thanks so much for all your help!!!
  6. I've been trying so many black cherries. Can't get any to have a hot throw. Cold throw is great but nothing for hot throw. I use 6006. Any suggestions from someone successful using 6006 would be so greatly appreciated!
  7. Hi, posted before about Angel for men from JBN but actually it was from Green Leaf. Has anyone found this to be an accurate dupe of the original? I would like to make some cologne for my husband. Thanks!
  8. I got a sample of this at department store for my husband. We both like it so Iwas thinking of making him some spray. JBN is the only place I have found so far that carries it. Has anyone tried this and campared to the original? Or are the any other that you would suggest? Thanks so much!
  9. Does this scent sound familiar? Thanks! A blend of fallen leaves, damp earth, and apple cider, with significant cinnamon notes.
  10. May I ask if you are blending it with more lavender than lemon? I know lavender can be quite strong so I wasn't sure if I blended it 50/50 if it would be similar to Yank@@'s or not. Thanks!
  11. Thanks. I think it's nice scent too. My daughter and I went to smell yank@@'s. She really liked it and she doesn't really like lemon or lavender but she really liked this. Think I may give a try offering it.
  12. Thank you everyone. Sounds like I should try Peak's out before i make a final decision.
  13. I've always used Heartfelt's Rocky Mountain Pine. Strong, but I'm running low and have seen lots of people like Peak's Spruce. May I ask has anyone compared the two? I use 6006. Thank you!
  14. Is anyone finding this to be a good selling scent in candles at all? I have a new good lavender and a new good lemon scent. Trying to decide if I want to offer them separate or combined like yank@@. Thanks!
  15. I test mine in an area dead center of my home. It's right where a 20x20 foot great room with a 12 foot ceiling meets a 20x 20 foot kithchen and a 14 x 20 foot dining room and a foyer. They are all pretty open to eachother. If I don't smell the candle within 30 minutes in all these areas as I'm walking around and even drifting into other rooms beyond, I regect the oil. I usually try wicking up up first and if that still won't do it, it's gone.
  16. Possibly she started using her AC. I find it more difficult to smell my candles when AC is running. Here we've only had a run it a few times this year and I noticed the difference. My sister-in-law just built a new tall ceiling house and they have AC for their first time ever. She said suddenly she's not smelling my candles lately in the new house as much as she used to and they were always really strong to her before. Just a thought.
  17. WSP Fresh Baked Bread throws great and is very authentic in my opinion. Pricey though.
  18. I'm thinking Snow Top which is now at ICS.
  19. I read these boards every day and have for years now. I find you just have to test I made the mistake in the past of getting full pounds of oils based on reviews and found they just didn't work for me. Different waxes factor and I think what may be one persons "strong" may not be mine and vice versa. Also size room factors. Someone may test burn in a smaller area than others. I personally tried many oils form JS when they first came out and also bought pounds based on reviews. But in the end only two out of many of their oils worked for me. But those two are strong. With that being said, there are other suppliers that many others may rave about and their oils just don't work for me at all. None. But then other suppliers I rarely hear raves for and I find those to be really strong. So I have found, it's just best to get testers only, and not a ton( but more than a couple as not all oils from one supplier will work you), from a supplier and find if their oils work for you. it's nothing personal. Just science I guess.
  20. Okay, based on this thread I ordered from brambleberry for the first time. I've been looking for a good chai tea and a grapefruit. So I purchased the chai tea and the yuzu along with some others( Pumkin spice, pumpkin pie, frank and myrhh, dragon's blood, christmas spice, indian sandlewood, dark rich chocolate). They all smell wonderful OOB! I'm trying them in 6006 container candles. Patti- May I ask what ratio your husband's recipe was for the yuzu and vanilla bean? Did it smell of mostly the yuzu? Thank you so much for letting everyone know about these. It was very kind of you! Can't wait to pour all of these, I have high hopes based on the OOB! TIA
  21. It is more of a Hippie scent. I don't like perfumes. Never have and really dislike smelling it on others. Gives me an instant headache. But I've been wearing a Frangipani oil since I was 16. I'm now nearing 46. I'm far from a hippie but this is still my husband's favorite scent I wear. The place I originally used to buy it from was a head shop that sold these oils and sterling silver jewelery etc. I don't wear it every day and had stocked up on it in my home town some years ago. The brand I use is called Spiritual Sky. Well, we were at an open market last summer here in Green Bay, WI and went into some of the local shops near by and one ended up being a head shop and there was my Frangipani Spiritual sky oil again. This one isn't at all like any kind of floral smell.
  22. I think it was moved to the weekly sales post below
  23. This is supposed to be at TCS. I'm not seeing anywhere on the site that is specifically says this is Wendy's original version. So is their listed Vanilla Bean Noel Type Wendy's original? TIA
