  1. Has anyone been contacted to sell on Houzz site or had any experience with it? Thanks!
  2. Does anyone know of lotion pumps that fit the 16 oz glass fragrance bottles? The ones Peak used to ship fragrance in and the ones WSP, and Brambleberry use. I've kept them all and am wanting to use them for myself at home. Thanks!
  3. I've been making candles for about 15 years now. I've kept the larger glass bottles that 16 oz fragrance comes in when it's in glass. I've kept the old Peak's ones, the ones for WSP and ones, ones from Brambleberry etc. I'm redoing bathrooms in my house. I thought it would be nice to use some of the to out lotions and such on a shelf. All looking the same with the same pumps but apothecary type labels on them. Does anyone know of pumps that fit those bottles? Thanks in advance!!
  4. I sell at a Farmers' Market once a week for 18 weeks. I make about a $300 week profit there and it keeps growing every year. It's getting to the point my brand is being pretty recognized locally although I try to keep myself personally out of the spotlight. I'm a one person show. I sell on line. Tend to get pretty big orders over the winter. I also sell at a restaurant. They sell for me at the same cost I sell on line and at Farmers' market. All they get in return is some free candles to burn. They say it's also a win for them because people go there specifically to buy my candles and end up eating there or getting a cocktail. Over the years I keep getting approached from brick and mortar shops to sell my product by me selling to them wholesale. I always turn it down as usually they want it for 50%. I don't sell my candles hugely expensive. But yes, over the years I've learned tricks to make my profit margin pretty good. About 70%. That's why I keep turning down wholesale. Yes I could sell more. But I would be working much longer and harder to make the same profit. To me, it's not my total number of sales, but the profit margin. So I'd rather sell a little less but I'm making a much bigger profit margin for what I do sell. I just got contacted AGAIN from a newly opened brick and mortar store. I feel I am about to turn them down again. Am I being stupid? Please share your thoughts with me. Thanks so much.
  5. Does anyone know anyone who carries an Angel for Men? I had one from a while back from Greenleaf when they were still in business Any ideas? Thanks so much!
  6. Does anyone know of any scents that smell like Hops? Not just beer but Hops. I have an opportunity to get some Hop oil used in brewing but I'm not sure if that would work. Thanks!
  7. marcuset, Thank you kindly for the information! That will be very valuable information! Do you find the quote that is given from that link to be the exact cost always? I'm finding this so helpful. Thanks so much!
  8. Bittercreek came out to $59 for a case.
  9. I'm intrigued. How does speedy delivery work?
  10. Bittercreek is a 4 hour drive from me. Same state. It cost $20 more UPS shipping for the same exact case of wax from Bittercreek than it does from Peak Candle Supply that's located in PA and CO.
  11. I only use their Chestnuts and Brown sugar but some of them look interesting. Has anyone tried the new ones in candles? TIA
  12. A little off topic, but I don't care for their Facebook plug in. Almost didn't notice it and it almost posted to my page.
  13. I actually use a matte finish now. But in testing, my label stuck SO much better to the gloss. Trying to decide which is worse ha ha.
  14. Anyone who uses gloss boxes, especially black, find a problem with fingerprints left all over the boxes? Thanks!
  15. Has anyone ordered glossy boxes from u-line. Glossy ones from papermart keep arriving damaged. Papermart is in California. U-line is closer. Wondering if that would help at all. Thanks.
  16. Just wanted to report back on this. Three different shipments and all arrived damaged in the same way. They did refund my money though. I did just find it thread that someone else said their pink glossy ones arrives damaged form papermart as well so I guess I'm not the only one. I do love the glossy boxes though. My labels really stick to them better than non glossy. Although I Have wondered about the amount of fingerprints they may leave behind while boxing the candles. It seems fingerprints show up really easily, especially on black.
  17. Nearly all of them have it. When I addressed it the first time, they said they looked at the other boxes they had and they were fine and would send me more out. When I asked if they knew why it happened they said they thought it was and isolated incident. The new box came double boxed, but as soon as I opened it, the very first box had this damage, and about 80% of the rest. I contacted them again and sent pictures. I asked if she opened the box before she sent it. She said she did and they have not had this problem before. It's like a white powder that only slightly wipes off. Leaves behind most of it.

  19. I ordered black gloss tuck gift boxes to package my candles. I just received the second box that has all of them damaged. I contacted them after the first shipment. They picked them up and assured me that was the only shipment that has damage and more are sent out. Well, I got them today and same thing. It's like there is a white powder on them and if you try to wipe it off, it still leaves damage behind. I just sent another email. But I'm pretty sure they never checked to see if other boxes had damage before it was shipped out. Anyone else had this experience? I've attacked pics of what the damage looks like,
  20. Shar, thank you so much for the info!!! You've been a great help!
  21. Yes. From doing a search of old threads, I read people had listed Mill Creek, but I wasn't seeing it either.
  22. I saw NG may carry it but it says it's not necessarily a dupe. Does anyone know who carries a dupe of Kenneth Cole Black? Thanks so much! I appreciate it.
