  1. Hi, Just wanted to let you know, don't know if it'll happen with your wax or not, but with J223, about 1/3 of the scents I use, leave a rust ring around the edge of the wax on the top within just a few days and gets worse over time. Especially any scent that has any vanilla in it at all or spice (amaish harvest is really bad). Looks horrible. Somethiing you may want to check on before you use all those tins. HTH
  2. I decided to try yourmailinglistprovider.com. Very easy to set up. Tested it, very simple and straight forward. I think I may even use the premium one for 2.50 a month. I've noticed A Scent Shop used that one. I tried bravenet and sent a tester one to myself. In the e-mail that was sent to me asking me to verify by clicking on link, it also had this on it: Hey, remember that Apple iBook giveaway thing I told you about? Here's the address: http://mercury.bravenet.com/rover/c?id=29380 I didn't like that it was made to sound like I was telling them this. Maybe I'm being too picky, I don't know. We'll see how this one goes. Thanks for all the suggestions.
  3. Basically something that people sign up to be on a mailing list for a newsletter. Something free would be great or low cost and easy to set up. Thanks so much!
  4. Hi, I'm looking to get some samples from ICs. Already use her Pink Sugar. One I wanted to try that I read about is the Sage and Citrus. But I can't find it. Is it just me? TIA
  5. Anyone know where I could get a Fo that smells like methenol or burning rubber as in tires? Strange I know. TIA
  6. which in your opinion is the strongest throwing. I'm ordering from from KY some other oils and was thinking of trying this but I've read good things about JS's too. I carry nothing from this supplier yet but was wondering if you find it much better than the KY one? Thanks much!!
  7. i get wiffs of it but not a knock me down throw like I thought I would. Do any of you have to wick up on this?
  8. No, they are not made of aluminum. I have this problem with many of my scents. Especially anything with any vanilla in it or any spice like cinnamon. Driving me nuts. I even called the manufacturer of my tins to get advice. They were not aware that this was happening as many of their tins are used for candles. No advice though. I'm still working to fix it.
  9. I order them without the scent name on them. Right now I print out the scent name on clear address lables and them cut those apart )can get aobut 4 on a label) and then apply to the warning lables. Would love to run through the printer again and jsut add the scent name but can't get the template and spacing right. Anyone do this that would care to share their template? I would be very grateful. It's driving me nuts. TIA
  10. Cut back on these FO. ? The ones I'm having a hard time with is : Baked cookies Orange Cake Nutty Bannana Bread Island Pear I love how they smell but it's weak and the burn seems to be struggling. Do you feel you have to wick up on all of these maybe? These were all the samples I got from her and having hard time with all. THanks
  11. Know of how you do it without going through someone that charges you to do it for you? A friend of mine said he just had to fill out a form and bring it to the courthouse in Minnisota. Wondering if any of you have gone about doing this in Wisconsin. Thank you for the info!!
  12. Ok, I've been aming candles for a while now. Have sold at craft fairs and had repeat customers. I use 16 oz. tins and J223. Some of my candles develope a rust colored ring in the wax around the outer edge after a while. Not fragrance sitting on the top but like the wax has discolored. Mostly happens with FO that have vanilla in them. Now I know that certain FO will rust the tin with dark spots while burning (pink sugar and Ky coconut cream pie does it for me) but that's not this. I don't color my wax so it really shows. I've tried adding a little Vybar and tried UA and cutting back on FO amount but that doesn't help. When I mix it in, I use a glass pour pot amd mix until the wax goes frim looking cloudy to really clear so I'm assuming it mixing in well. No one has complained about this but I have my first whole- sale account coming up and I'm concerned about this. Does anyone else have this? Do I just embrace this and not worry if no one has complained yet or do I color all my candles rust so it blends in:) Or is there a way of solving this? Thanks so much for the help!!
  13. Use the select tool (the little dotted line box) in the top right corner of the toolbar on the left side of the page. Click on it. Then click on the top left corner of your picture and hold down your mouse button as you drag it down to the bottom right corner. You should have a dotted line square around your picture. Now you can drag your picture to wherever you want! HTH
  14. I have my first wholesale account going through this fall. We've made verbal agreements but need to draw up a contract. So if you wouldn't mind sharing, I'd love to see examples of how people are doing it that hsa worked out for them. Thanks so much!!
  15. I use 2.5" round labels. I have tried Planetlabel, Avery, and BCN labels. I have tried the avery template, the planetlabel template, printmaster, etc. I also have a different printer now than I used to. I have calibrated the printer. No matter what I did, I was having the same problem as you. I finally re-made my label to not fit entire the entire backround and then you don't notice small differences. I think it's just something with those darn round labels. Wish I could give you positive news but I tried for a long time with many things and that is just what I came up with.
