Does anyone know of any scents that smell like books. I have requests. I'm seeing candles do exist for sale in that scent if you google it. Thank you!

So I use tons of candle 16 oz tins. A while back they said they had started specially treating them to not rust. It worked. But now I see they are discontinued!!! oh my gosh!! Panic. Does anyone where candle science gets them so I could see if if I buy direct if they would still be the treated ones? Can't believe this is happening this time of year! Thank you!

I've ended up using USPS to ship all my orders. It works out less expensive almost every time. I've also been able to cut some of my shipping rates nearly in half by using the Regional Rate boxes as well. I do everything I can to cut shipping costs for my customers. I just try to give them what I would want as a customer. I ship to my son in college packages. I live in Wisconsin and he goes to school in Wisconsin 4 hours away. I ship using regional rate usps and it always gets there overnight.

I had sent them a message and received a reply back quickly. They said I can use USPS if I leave a comment but they can't guarantee the arrival date. Glad to have found a less expensive option.

I also live in Wisconsin so that seems extreme! Practically paying for shipping what the oil cost! Didn't complete my order........

I like how clean it is, but I feel there's is nothing that makes people remember your company. Something that when people see them, they instantly recognize that these are your candles from your company, without them having to read the whole label.

Never mind. I figured out how to make Mals work for what I needed.

okay, I have looked at some of these. They have templates you use. I am really happy with the way my website is set up and like the like look and don't want to change it. on mals you just use html to link your own add to cart buttons to their program. Anything else like that that has more options for shipping and sales and discounts? Thank you!

I've used Mals-e for years. I used to use Propay with it but in the last couple of years have used Square. Mals has worked well for me but I am unhappy with how limited you are for setting up shipping options and especially options for running sales. I run a buy 4 get a 5th candle free sale every year and it's really a pin to try to set it up and if anyone wants to purchase over 10 candles it doesn't work. So, I'm thinking of trying another shopping cart option that is free as well. I'm seeing there is Zen Cart, Open Cart, Spree, Lite Commerce, etc. Does anyone have experience with any of these and any recommendations? THanks so much! I appreciate it.

I even emailed a while back when I was wanting to order a pound. I asked if that was the correct shipping because it seemed quite high. I got no response. I ship as well and I charge actual shipping cost and do everything I can to keep the shipping cost down. I just think it's good business to give your customers what you would want as a customer.

Yes. It is true. Like all suppliers, not all their scents throw great in my wax, but the ones that do I only use half the amount.

I was going to get in on the sample sale at Soutwest Candle Supply but it would have cost me over $14 for eight 1/2 oz. samples. That means over $14 for 4 oz. Nope. A shame.

So, that last I heard a while back TCS wasn't carrying Vanilla Bean Noel anymore. I just looked and it's showing out of stock. So do they still carry it and it's just out of stock or has it been "out of stock" for a very very long time? Thank you!

Interesting. I tried 2 of their fragrances in the past that others said got a strong throw and I didn't get anything. But... I do carry a few of the ones they carry that used to be carried by KY and they are some of my strongest HT. Possibly I should just stick to those. I received a few more I'm testing of those. Too bad. I found Oud Wood interesting as did my daughter and she doesn't like many scents. I will have to try it for my free sample to pour next time.

That's what I was thinking. It's not the wax I use so I wasn't sure. I really like the cold throw though.

By any chance has anyone tried RE Oud Wood in candles? I received a little tea light of this in my last order. I liked the cold throw but burning I'm getting no hot throw. Wondering if the tea light is just too small. Thank you!

Well, I spent a whole morning doing the q-tip thing and the biggest conclusion I came up with is that I'm not the best at mixing scents. I have a whole new respect for perfumers ha ha. Plus, until I actually pour candles with the combined scents, I'm not sure how it will be since some scents give off a stronger scent when burned. I have Kentish rain ordered and haven't received it yet but I may try that with a touch of WSP Dirt. I have noticed that some scents that are usually really strong on their own, when combined, almost cancel each other out and neither gives off much scent. I have no idea how to explain that one. Like I said, a whole new respect for perfumers.
