  1. I think I may have found a wax similar to Ky125, but the supplier is further away from you (Candle Supplies by Farmhouse). Ky125 is soy & cottonseed oil, FH125 is soy & soybean oil. Ky125 costs less too. Sorry I'm not much help. :undecided
  2. Candles & Supplies is not far from where I live. I've been thinking of buying jars and wax from them to save on shipping. I've been reading that C&S fo's are pretty hit or miss. Does anyone use their fo's? If so, can you tell me which ones work well in soy or 50/50? Any must haves? TIA.
  3. I use Ky Natural Pillar/Votive wax for my tarts. They come out beautiful.
  4. Ky125 is container wax, I use it for my jars. For votives, I use Ky Natural Pillar/Votive wax.
  5. It seems like there is alot of interest . . . from what I've counted, 6 people already say that they would like/love it on this thread alone! Maybe you could do a pole . . . everybody loves CT! :highfive:
  6. I've been testing Vanilla Hazelnut Mocha from Millcreek. It's really awesome. It throws great in my soy.
  7. I use Ky125, and I'm a bit disappointed with JS too! I'm sure there are many people who use the same wax as me and they have no problem . . . go figure! I haven't given up just yet, I have a few more samples to try. Great customer service too!
  8. Honeysuckle Jasmine, Lavender Vanilla, Raspberry Blossom (Kentucky Candle Wax Supply). Angel Wings, Fresh Cut Roses, Lilac Breeze (Millcreek). I would think that any kind of spring floral would be great. Both of the these suppliers have awesome scents. I use KY125.
  9. "Graham Cracker Crust" from Kentucky Candle Wax Supply.
  10. Check out Taylored Concepts Candle Supplies . . . they have some really interesting scents . . . Luck of the Irish, Leprechaun's Pipe, Leapin' Leprechaun, Super Shamrock, Irish Clover, Irish Cream, Irish Coffee, Pot O' God, Four Leaf Clover, End of the Rainbow, and Barney Blast.
  11. If you look down the page - about 17 posts down, you can read more about The Candle Source. You will probably get more suggestions there.
  12. I've never ordered because I've only read negative things. I guess that's not too fair, but I don't want to waste my money. With so many suppliers that get great reviews, I don't want to chance it.
  13. I use Ky125 - the 105 starts out ok, but after a few hours, the flame is very small and there's alot of hang up on the sides. In stead of a clear melt pool, it looks like a milky wax pool.
  14. I really need help with this. I've been testing different wicks in my 8oz square mason jars. I've tried htp 105, 126 and 1212. It seems like the 105 and 126 are too weak. The 1212 seems too hot. I'm thinking that I need to try another type of wick. Any suggestions. Just wondering what everyone else uses in their 8oz sq. mason jars. I need another starting point to test. Please help!!!! TIA.
  15. www.thecandlesource.com The sale has been going on for months . . . they seem to be the regular prices . . . here's what I've tried . . . Downey, J&J Bedtime Bath, Monkey Farts, Sunwashed Linen, Vanilla Crunch, Clothes Line, Grandma's Kitchen, Spiced Apples & Peaches, Starfruit & Mango, Fresh Cut Roses. They have great customer service too! Based on a lot of research, I haven't tried Spring Rain, Pineapple, or Fresh Peach, other's have said they were too weak. I use Ky125.

  18. Cranberry Girl - I don't think you should be sorry for voicing your thoughts, I really appreciate what you had to say. I think you have a good idea. However, if it doesn't fly, oh well. At least you put a good idea out there. Ya just never know, maybe someday we won't have to go to another board for that information . . . anything's possible . . . never say never.
  19. Don't forget Cinnamon Toast, Lemon Pound Cake, Homemade Apple Pie and Southern Vanilla. Caramel Pecan Pie and Vermont Maple Syrup are wonderful too!
  20. CranberryGirl - I think that's a great idea. Why go on to another board for that information . . . why not have it available to us at this board? Isn't that the purpose . . . to have the info we need here so that we don't have to look elsewhere? It makes sense to me.
  21. No one's heard about or buys from this supplier? I was hoping to get some kind of info on them.
  22. I think both Nature's Garden and Alabaster have Orange Sherbert. I haven't used them personally, but both of these suppliers are excellent. Maybe others can help.
  23. I just found a new supplier. The name is Make Scents Candles. Does anyone buy from this supplier? They have a lot of fo's and say that they are for soy wax. Just interested if anyone knows about Make Scents Candles and what scents to order. Their sample pack is $14 for 10 one ounce bottles. TIA.
