  1. I just bought a new silicone mold to make a pillar candle. I plan on using KY votive/pillar wax in the mold. The person who makes the mold, uses paraffin and she uses an LX18 to wick the pillar. Does anyone use LX wicks in soy? Just wondering if anyone can help me out here? TIA.
  2. For soaps, I would say: Vanilla Grapefruit, Rosemary Mint, Tangarine, Eucalyptus/Spearmint.
  3. I just found the website for Flying Witch Fragrances . . . I've never heard of them before. Their sample packs are a great price - 5 scents for $6.75. Lots of fragrances with yummy names. Has anyone ordered from them before? If so, any scent suggestions? I need to stop looking up new suppliers . . . but these oils sound great! Thanks.
  4. I'd like to order some samples, but I don't see where they have any scent descriptions on their site.
  5. Thank you so much . . . I really appreciate your help.
  6. I just clicked on Fragrance Finder and the website is down - yikes!!! Can anyone help me? I'm trying to find out who carries a good Holly & Ivy. As usual, I'm looking for a strong scent with a good throw in soy. If anyone uses this scent or knows where to buy it, please let me know. Thanks.
  7. I'm wondering what scents you used too!!! I started testing some samples and agree, they are great - the customer service is also top rate - their prices are fantastic! So far, I've tested Banana Nut Bread, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Butter Rum Crunch, and Sweet Potato Pie. I love them all . . . I use KY125. Which ones have you tested?
  8. It is true to it's name . . . it smells exactly like cinnamon toast. I don't know how they do it, but it's right on the money!
  9. Thanks everyone for your help - I will try mixing what I have. I'm using KY125 and using 1.5oz per pound of wax. I love NG oils and don't understand why they think it's not strong enough. I also recieved a response from someone suggesting BCN. I'm going to order that today. Another suggestion was Tri-state; they carry a Cranberry Balsam, however, in the description it says that it's a cranberry scent with cedar . . . interesting. Thanks again.
  10. I have a customer who requested a scent combo of cranberry/pine for their signature sent. I tested NG's Cranberry Balsam but it was not strong enough for them. Does anyone know where I can find this type of scent or a similar one - is there a scent that could possibly pass for a cranberry/pine scent? I don't want to mix scents if I don't have too. If you can help me, I'd really appreciate it . . . I'm in a bit of a bind. Thanks so much.
  11. I'm ordering a few scents from Aroma Haven/Rustic Essentuals. Has anyone used their fo's before? I'm interested in Pumpkin Pie Spice, Homespun Sugar, Vanilla Wafers, and Celtic Moon Spice. Any comments or opinions about these scents? (Or, any other scents for that matter.) I'm using KY125. Hoping I get some help, thanks so much. (I couldn't get on this message board last night, something about technical difficulties - I was freaked - I love this board!)
  12. I've recently heard of a company called Bolek's. I've never heard of them before. Anyway, I've done a few searches and really can't find out that much info on them. I did read that they have a good "Warm Orange Gingerbread". Another person commented that "you can't go wrong with Bolek's". Has anyone ordered from Bolek's before? I found their website but there are no scent descriptions. They are currently having a sale . . . 16oz fo's for $11. Can anyone help me? What are some good scents to order? Hoping someone has tried their fo's and can tell me the good ones for soy (I use soy125). Like everyone else, I'm looking for strong scents with a great throw. Thanks.
  13. I use Snowtop's . . . it's kickin!!!
  14. I've never tried WYW's Mulled Cider, but I use Snowtop's and love it. You can get a sample and try . . . the shipping is free.
  15. So far, the only supplier that I had a real problem with was SoapNCandles. I ordered some samples from them and didn't receive my order for almost a month, maybe more. I sent numerous emails and never received a reply. I also called dozens of times (I would email and call everyday) - I only got voice mail. What a night mare . . . I was so frustrated. I read on another message board, that many others were having the same problem. Some customers were even complaining to the Better Business Bureau. Finally, after several weeks, I did receive my samples. I voiwed never to place another order with that company again. This all happened about 1-2 months ago, maybe things are different now, but I'm I'm not going to chance it. The samples I received were really great, however, the customer service wasn't. I felt really bad about the whole thing, because I would have like to continue doing business with them. I'm really sorry that it didn't work out.
  16. Longwyck's has a good one too!
  17. Thank you so much. You really helped!
  18. I haven't tried them, but I hear that both their Creme Brulee and Green Tea FO's are awesome.
  19. I know Candles and Supplies are hit and miss with their FO's. I've tried a couple, but really wasn't impressed with them - I guess I picked the wrong ones. However, one of their scents that are on sale this month is Mulled Wine. By the description, it sounds good . . . has anyone tried this scent? Just trying to get some opinions on this FO. I want to place an order for some dyes, molds and wicks, so I thought I would order a FO if I could find a good one. They always have a few scents on sale each month . . . the price is really good . . . $9 for a pound. Mulled Wine sounds interesting . . . can anyone help me with this . . . if not, are their any other suggestions. Thanks so much.
  20. I just head about a company called Wellington. I checked out their website and they carry 3 grades of oils . . . very interesting. Has anyone tried their FO's? If so, any suggestions? How's their customer service? Thanks.
  21. I just poured Pumpkin Cheesecake from Indiana Candle Supplies. I made some tarts in soy . . . they smell great.
