  1. Lemon Bundt Cake, Strawberry Margarita, Calypso Melon- These are the only 3 I have tried so far and all 3 were good throwers for me. The Strawberry Margarita smelled like a sweet strawberry to me...no Margarita.
  2. I have the Black Raspberry Vanilla and it is great. Stargazer Lily is not really my thing but others really love it, it is a good thrower. Sun Ripened Raspberry is odd smelling to me and again I do not like it and don't sell much of it. I thought the Watermelon had a fake smell to it, but I am still searching for a true watermelon, to me they have all smelled fake. Even though I have not like some of these they all throw well for me my nose just doesnt love some of them. Shari
  3. I guess I am an odd one out in this thread. I like when people walk in my house and tell me they could smell my candle when the stepped on my front porch. Although this depends on what I am burning too. Anything bakery I want a strong smell with. Florals I like soft scents.
  4. I don't use your wax I use J50. I have been told that our waxes are similar, don't know if this is true, but candlescience recommends the eco series for J50. I actually ordered a sample pack to try out. I use zinc wicks and havent had a problem with any scent but if I could achieve the same scent throw with less or no mushrooming, well that would be great. Not sure if this wick will actually work but I am willing to try. I have used the LX wicks and although they were ok I did not think the scent throw was as good. Good Luck! Wicking is a PIA but also I think kind of fun, its neat to see all the variables.
  5. This is what I mean. People smell things so differently. Sahara did not smell at all citrusy to me, LOL. I have the honey patchouli poured and I will burn it tomorrow. I have been searching earthy smells here on the board and have several on my list now so maybe I will come up with something.
  6. After several requests for more "earthy" scents I placed my first order with Flickers to try some samples of what I thought would be earthy. If any of you have tried these scents I am looking for your opinions on how earthy they are. I am a bakery lover so this is totally not my preferred scent catagory. Merlins Forest - I did not find this at all earthy. It smelled very baby powdery to me. Sangre De Grado - I expected this to be way different than it is. Again I smell a powdery smell. Maybe it is just my nose. Flowerbomb - This one really surprised me. It does not smell at all floral to me. I am not sure what I am smelling but it has a note of fresh berry with something else. Not sure what but I love this scent. Mystic Woods - Yucky cologne. Summer Vacation - Smells like suntan oil to me. Which I like. Sahara - This is earthy to me. Smells like black liccorice and woods. To me this is a different sort of clean scent. I think I like it. I also have Patchouli Honey and Cranberry Fig that I have not burned yet. I know that everyone smells things differently so I am sending these to my earthy loving friends to try. But I wondered what your opinion of these is. And what screams earthy to you? I have ordered Cinnamon Sandlewood from the candle source because of the reviews I have read on here. Also I just placed an order with C&S for Cucumber Lavender and Green. This earthy thing is just not my cup of tea but I am hoping to find at least a few I like.
  7. I went ahead and ordered from them. I was very happy with what I got. The electric crystal type warmers have a deeper bowl then others I have purchased in the past. I am not sure it hold a full ounce because I dont make my tarts that big but I know it held about a .7 oz tart with no spill over. I really liked the electric ones I got. Now the tealight ones I got were the teapot style. One was the teapot on the stove and the other was just the lidded teapot. The lidded teapot had a nice size bowl and probably would hold an oz. The teapot on the stove would hold an oz but the opening on the bowl is really tiny so you would have to break up a tart to get it in and then you could not just pop it out, you would have to melt the tart and pour it out. I had no problem selling them though, probably because they are just so darn cute. Everything is individually boxed, which I liked. Shari
  8. Glad to finally be able to help! LOL I get so much help here it is good to finally give some! I have had good luck with their burners, people here seem to love them and I never have a problem hitting the minimum.
  9. I have ordered from http://www14.ivenue.com/lvcreations/index2.ivnu?or_id=D6A30191-929F&cu_id=D6L99-X5329F&st_id=lvcreRJzcxf7tx8. They require a $75 minimum but no tax id. The tealight warmers are really cute and I like their electric ones too. The bowls are deeper than the ones from crystalwarmers.com. Also they come individually boxed which is a plus to me.
  10. I don't know about your state law but here anything over $150 is a felony. I babysit for our prosecutors secretary and on a few occasions she has taken in checks for me. Some for as little as $20. Thankfully I have never had to actually go the distance with any of them, a letter from the prosecutors office prompts them to pay, but I would. I hope he pays you tomarrow but if he doesnt I would go to the prosecutors office.
  11. Anyone ever ordered from them? I like some of their stuff but wondered if anyone has ever dealt with them?
  12. I also use BCS it is really good and strong I only use about .5 to .75 oz pp.
  13. I second the Jack Frost from CS it is fabulous!
  14. I have never had to use vybar before, but I cannot get Sissies Sugar Cookie to blend in for me. So someone suggested I use a little vybar to help bind the scent. I ordered some and will have it tomorrow my question is how do I use this? I did a search but it only confused me more. I use J50 btw. And I ordered the stuff that said it was for container candles.
