  1. I just mixed some up last night. I used Longwyck's "Snowstorm" (spearmint) and Farmhouse's "Hot Cocoa". I poured it 50/50. It smells just like Andes Candies or Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. The cold throw is great; waiting to cure before I test the hot throw. I'll keep everyone posted.
  2. Just wondering if anyone orders from Mill Creek. I'm looking to order some great throwers for soy. I use ky125 and ky pillar/votive. Hoping to get some suggestions about what to order. Thanks.
  3. What would everyone mix with Spearment? I'm kinda lost for ideas. The only thing I can come up with is chocolate. Any good ideas? Thanks.
  4. Cinnamon Toast Southern Vanilla Pumpkin Pie - I added a little Homemade Apple Pie to this Lemon Pound Cake a combo of Vermont Maple Syrup & Carmel Pecan Pie Cider Barrel (have to test yet - I smell mostly cedar OOB, hoping to smell more apple in wax)
  5. For containers I use KY125, and I also use KY pillar/votive wax. I love them both.
  6. My vote goes to KY. Snowtop's is a great one too, but IMHO KY's is better. I use KY125 and KY pillar/votive.
  7. This doesn't have to do with samples, but Snowtop is having a sale and it's a 6% sale. That means, on a bottle of fo that $16, you only save 96 cents. I know that it's better than nothing, but how can you call that a sale? Snowtop never gives free samples.
  8. I vote for KY (Kentucky Candle Wax Supply). I love all of their fo's and I even use their wax (ky125 for containers) (ky pillar/votive blend). Customer service is the best. I can't say enough good things about this supplier.
  9. I love Ky oils; for purple I would suggest: Angelina Cleopatra Fresh Lilac Moonlight Magic Mulberry Plumeria Raspberry Blossom Vineyard Muscadine There's probably more, I would take a look at www.kycandlewaxsupply.com for scent descriptions.
  10. Just wondering if anyone uses IGI 6006 wax. I'm thinking about ordering a slab to test. I'm also looking compatible fo's to go with the wax. I checked out Candlescience . . . any feedback on their fo's with 6006? Thanks.
  11. I only have htp wicks . . . maybe I should try an htp 126.
  12. I'm making a 16oz mason jar candle using KY125. I know there are many others using KY125, so I'm hoping to get some good direction regarding a wick size for a 16oz mason jar. (I plan on using KY's Pumpkin Pie fo.) Can anyone tell me what wick size I should start testing with? I was thinking about an htp1212 or 1312. Any suggestions? I would really appreciate help. Thanks so much.
  13. I use Green Apple from Snowtop . . . I've tried a few others, but this one is hard to beat!
  14. Snowtop has an awesome Orange Chiffon Cake as well!
  15. Looking for some wick size suggestions for votives. I'm using KY pillar/votive soy wax. I'm also using fo's like Apple Pie, Christmas Splendor, Banana Pudding, Christmas Eve, & Spearment at 9%. All advice is really appreciated. Thanks.
  16. ICS was going to discontinue their Pineapple Upside Down Cake. I emailed them yesterday and they said that they have decided to continue carrying it. Hurray!!! Thank you ICS!!!
  17. I use Hot Coco from Farmhouse. It truly smells like the real thing. Very strong in soy; I use KY125. When I visited my mother-in-law last night, she had a tart going, the smell of Hot Cocoa went throughout her apartment; kitchen, living room, hallways, bathroom and bedroom. It was really great!
  18. You should check out Just Scent; they have quite a few: Christmas Cabernet, Merlot, Mulled Wine, Muscadine, and Vineyard. I think there's a sale going on now.
  19. Longwyck's has an awesome Sugar Cookie too. Farmhouse's Cookies & Cream is great. I use Snowtop's Creamy Coconut Pie as my Sugar Cookie, I don't smell any coconut in it, to me (and my customers) it smells like a buttery vanilla cookie - it's a best seller for me. I use KY123 and KY votive/pillar.

  21. Daystar is having a sale. Also her sample packs are very reasonable . . . 5 (2oz) fo's for $15.
  22. Candles and Supplies is have a hugh sale on fo's. They have about 3 pages of scents (16oz size) that are on sale for $9.99. Any suggestions on good ones? I think their scents are pretty hit or miss, but if something is on sale that's really good, I want to try it. I use KY125. Hoping for some help.
  23. I've been testing BNB's recently . . . my favorite is JS. However, Tri-state, ICS, and Cajun are awesome too. The reason I picked JS is because you smell a more pronounced banana scent. Hope that makes sense!
