  1. Keep in mind that 6006 wax is mostly paraffin. It's about 75% paraffin and 25% soy. Sometimes it soots and sometimes it doesn't. It depends on the oils you are using. It makes a nice candle. Needs to be poured hot. Sometimes you will get some sink holes, but you can do a repour or hot gun the tops. It has good jar adhesion. Minimal wet spots. Be sure to warm the jars. 1 oz fragrance oil per pound is usually sufficient for a good scent throw. I prefer zinc wicks with this wax. I don't use any additives at all. I don't even add any soy too it. Just dye and fragrance.
  2. Oh man, I don't know. I use the EO Rain forest from WSP too. I've been all over the different supplier sites last night shopping and I didn't see that one. Maybe do a search on fragrance oil finder. good luck!
  3. I use WSP stabilizer too. It never occurred to me to put it in every batch. I spend a lot of time looking for fragrances with no vanilla in them. I have found that sometimes even with the stabilizer that some fragrances still turn.
  4. That is a very common wax. You should be able to get it most anywhere.
  5. 175 to 180 is good. You need it warm enough for the scent to "blossom" when you add the oil.
  6. Type of Soy or Soy Blend you use? Ecosoya CB Advanced Additives if any? None Preferred dyes? Liquid or Dye Blocks Preferred wick (Not sizes)? LX Pouring temp you recommend? I don't use a prefered temp. I pour when I'm done stirring. What you do to prevent frosting? CB Advanced doesn't have many frost issues What you do to prevent rough tops? CB Advanced doesn't have rough tops. If it sinks or cracks a little around the wick, I gently and quickly melt with heat gun just enough to smooth it. Do you do anything to prevent wet spots? Nothing
  7. I've ordered soy wax from them by the case several times and never had any problems. The prices are good, the wax is good, shipping cost reasonable and shipping time no longer than any other supplier. PS. And I realize this post is 2 years old.
  8. I am totally into WSP Sleepy Time essential oil right now. I made it into a linen spray and man does it smell good!
  9. I had a problem with them once too a few months ago. We went round and round through email and over the phone. Finally I decided to let it go because they weren't budging even though the mistake is so obvious. I'd rather not go into detail because I still use them. Needless to say the mistake is still on their site though. Other than that I am happy with them. By the way. I left (polite & honest) feedback for that item on their website, correcting their mistake so others would know. My feedback was promptly removed and swept under the rug. *shrugs*
  10. I used those stickums for a long time. Now I use a hot glue gun. The glue gun works much better.
  11. marking this thread for future reference.
  12. Yes! I've ordered oils more than once from same suppliers (names withheld). Some have smelled different and the oil color has changed, one being darker than the other. It made me question the quality. I haven't candled with them yet though. So I can't comment on how they will do in wax.
  13. I did Very Sexy for Her in M&P soap. It didn't hold the scent over time.
  14. Who has the best? I need it for candles, soap and bath & body. I need one that is really good. I've tried AromaHaven/RusticEscentials but I'm not too sure about it. I ordered 2 different versions from them, but they sent me the same one twice so I don't really have much to go on yet. TIA!
  15. My favorite companies for fragrances are AromaHaven/RusticEscentials and Candle Science. The Bitter Creeks both have some good ones that i buy faithfully. I've heard that DayStar is really good, too, but I've never used them yet.
  16. I love SFIC bases! I use the white, then I add my own goat's milk and oils. Haven't had a problem with drying at all. They are creamy smooth lathery and moisturizing. You have to play until you get the right balance. Unfortunately it expensive during the testing stages. The method I use is perfect, but you'd have to torture me to get my secrets.
  17. Use less oil, let it cool a lot before pouring, and give it one last gentle stir. Then pour.
  18. Coconut, Jasmine, Dogwood, Creme Brulee I have yet to find a coconut that i like that smells sweet, fresh and creamy. Maybe I just hate them all. I don't know.
  19. Generally it is best to use a container wax for tea lights.
  20. J50 has a better scent throw than J223. I actually like it better. I had a hard time wicking it when I tried it, but with a little patience I am sure you can have an even better candle with the J50 than you ever had with the J223.
  21. My favorite cinnamon is Cinnamon Crunch. I'm also a big fan of Vanilla Crunch. I get those 2 from The Candle Source.
  22. CS is one of my favorite scent suppliers! I've liked almost all of them, only a few that I didn't care for. I highly recommend them.
  23. I like WSP a lot, but the last order I received from them, several of the items were dusty and dirty. I guess that was warehouse dirt. I've gotten a few oils that I didn't like, but in general they get a lot of my business. It has never dawned on me that suppliers would ban a customer.
  24. Those are cute! I've been wanting to try making some of those too.
