  1. the cd10 should be a good starting point for you to try. They are great tins because they have little "feet" on them and a "bullseye" where your wick should go so they are great even for a beginner as I still am. I mixed 464 and 4630 and found the cd8 and cd 10 worked great for me depending on the fo I was using. The tins tend to become hotter than glass but I never found that they would be very hot unless I burned for over 4-5 hours doing a power burn etc. Hope this helped in some way.
  2. yes it's a straight sided jar and when I recorded the temp the candle was burned 1/2 way already, meaning I poured 10 oz of wax and test burned it a few times already so probably 5 to 6 oz of wax are still available to burn. I am just starting to get into weighing and just wanted to work out this melt pool first. So 1/2 " would be too deep @ 3 hour test?
  3. Can anyone tell me if this melt pool is too deep? igi 6006 parasoy container blend-3" diameter container-3 hour burn test- MP was exactly 1/2" deep and the glass was 132 degrees. Does this seem decent or would you wick down some more????? Thanks as always to all of you!
  4. you mean steal working on it? lol- thats all I was saying.SORRY
  5. Sherry -please forgive me if this seems rude but please check your website, it has many many misspelled words. I am not perfect but I think you should fix these to appear more professional and therefor get more $ale$.
  6. What is an acceptable safe temerature for the outside of a glass candle container. I have really wicked down and am super happy with the way the candle burns but it still seems a bit too hot for me, I just want to make sure it's safe. Are there any tests for this etc. ? I know I have read info on this sometime ago but can't find it tonite. Thanks
  7. I don't know if this is still accurate but a supplier once told me that they use Sasol brand wax and it's a custom blend for sure.
  8. me too. Has ANYONE tried Cajun's aroma beads?
  9. Hello everyone, Do any of you have experience with the Aroma beads from both? I have used BCN and I like them but wondering if there is a difference in Cajun's and what it is i.e. one holds scent better than the other etc. Thank You
  10. Sorry if this sound harsh but all I want to know is WHY would anyone give this piece of trash ANY business after all the negative reviews he gets on this board.Just stay away and give your business to a reputable supplier that gives great customer service.
  11. I got it in my inbox this morning. It looks great, complete with a thumbs up-they liked them.Great job:cheesy2:
  12. wow I did get a response and much to my surprise they said the formulation was mixed wrong. They already sent the correct formulation out to me and a call tag for free shipping back on the bad one.Now thats the kind of customer service that will keep me purchasing from them! Excellent
  13. I ordered some sniffies and fell in love with a scent, I ordered the fo in a 1# size. I received the fo and it smells sooooo different,I even compared it to the original sniffee-they are similar but not the same. I have left messages with the supplier but no call yet maybe tomorrow. I just wondered if this ever happened to anyone and what was done? PS I did use a little of the fo to see if it just smelled bad oob or also in the application. Thanks
  14. UUUGH! this just happened to me this morning with a package to NY from Chicago. 6 of 12 items were broken!!!! They were packed so well I thought the recipient would laugh unwrapping it all. It just makes me sick to my stomach that people(USPS workers) don't treat boxes as their own, it's become the Walmart of shipping!!
  15. http://www.newdirectionsaromatics.com/ I don't know how the quality is but they have a Canadian store
  16. Thanks- I went ahead and ordered 11 colors from JBN, That should do it and then some.
  17. Hi, I am interested in purchasing these dyes and along with them I will get a color wheel for mixing custom colors but my question is...JBN looks like they have a limited color selection of these, like no yellow etc. but I was wondering if any of you mix custom colors and have good luck with these?I am looking to make a tropical coral color and a very light baby blue etc. Thanks
