  10. what if you made the owl hallow to sit over a cone incense burner? like these? you could still sculpt the owl over the tops and make the holes, or just make the owl to sit over the entire burner. Thats the only thing I can think of without using earth clay or ceramic and having a fireproof glaze put on
  11. If its for cones I would definitely use some type of earth clay that would need to be fired in a kiln unfortunately. since polymer clay is basically plastic i wouldnt recommend it for cones unless the bottom of the burner is metal or glass, like something your owl sits on that is safe for the cone to burn in and then sculpt the polymer clay owl to sit ontop of the bowl. See how her incense burner is in the clay and clay is sculpted around it? but heat is not directly on the polymer clay.
  12. is it for the stick incense or cones? ive seen them made out of polymer clay for the stick incense, sculpey and premo are the clays i use and you just fire them in your oven according to the directions on the package

  15. to get the smell out of silicone fill the sink with hot water add some baking soda and let your molds soak until the water cools ..then wash them with soap and water, or you could fill the sink with hot water, add a tblspoon of bleach and let them soak, wash them soap and water, you might have to do this a few times, i had a mold that smelled like rootbeer and that worked for me
  16. you could make your own... a box of tooth picks, construction paper or pretty heart scrapbook paper, a heart shaped hole punch and some glue, you could glue the hearts to red straws or make a slit in the paper heart and slide the straw through it
