  1. I prefer AH/RE over JS because the quality of the FO's is *much* better. You won't be disappointed! The Kickin' Caramel is fantastic. I like it better than the Caramel Sensations and it's less expensive. The Yuzu is sweet and tart at the same time, it's a great scent. The Welcome Home is a great holiday scent. Some other favorites are Dreamcatcher, Orchid Rain, and Green Tea & Cucumber.
  2. You can infuse Stevia in some Coconut Oil and use that as a sweetener.
  3. I've tried a couple from the Chemistry store, but didn't care for them. They are very "fake" smelling. My favorites are from here: http://www.LipBalmTubes.com The Sugared Strawberries and Cherry Berry are FANTASTIC. In the fall/winter I like the Pumpkin Cheesecake and Gingersnap.
  4. Thanks for the review. I've tried the Atlantic Sea Kelp in a lotion base and it's so clean smelling! It's a nice "clean" that doesn't smell like fabric softener. I haven't tried the Cranberry Yuzu.
  5. I like the Forbidden Fruit from AH/RE.
  6. I believe that is just for info about the product. It can hold up to 10% fragrance, but actually putting that much in would be overkill (IMHO), would be too strong, and would be a waste of money and FO. I would think that with just about any FO a small percentage would be plenty.
  7. You can use this site to find suppliers close to you, then compare pricing: http://www.SuppliersByState.com Hope this helps!
  8. I've tried it plain and like it. It has the exact consistency of Vaseline. I've not tried adding any flavor oils to it, but I suppose you could. And yes, it's soft enough to be squeezable.
  9. It appears the bases are returning. http://soapersworkshop.com/store/index.html
  10. I like Peppercorn. Also, Red Currant is an excellent choice for fall.
  11. I save up old and unliked (by me) FO's for a friend. She uses them in her tart warmer. But, once used, she probably pours them in the garbage so I don't know if this is any help!
  12. Their scents are nice but I do not use them. The prices are too inflated.
  13. I much prefer paraffin over soy. I don't have to worry about "frosting" and I don't have to worry about paraffin ever being finicky with FO's like soy can be. I also feel that paraffin makes a much more attractive candle than soy.
  14. I use IGI 1343. It's a nice versatile wax that will make great tarts, votives, and pillars.
  15. There is no paraffin or soy wax that will be completely translucent - that can be achieved only by using gel wax. However, the most translucent wax I've found is IGI 1343. Hope this helps!
  16. My favorite flavor oils come from http://www.LipBalmTubes.com
  17. They are fantastic. My faves are Iced Pineapple & Tangerine, Mango Peach fusion, Almond Biscotti, Cherry Berry, and Gingersnap. I have the Pumpkin Cheesecake and Hazelnut Latte, but haven't yet made them into lip balms. The sweetener is great too - it doesn't take very much!
  18. The best one I've found is Interlude at AromaHaven/Rustic Escentuals. :smiley2: It's incredibly strong and a little goes a long way. The scent is beautiful!
  19. I feel their scents are way overpriced. There are many other suppliers with products just as good, if not better. I prefer to shop elsewhere.

    I use cello bags.
  21. What kind of potpourri are you using? Floral buds? Spices?
  22. I use the one from AH/RE and it's fantastic.
  23. These folks have great bases: http://www.rainshadowlabs.com/
  24. Vanilla or a light lemon. Here is a great Lemon Curd scent that's fantastic in bath/body products.
