  1. I couldn't resist, they all sound wonderful and all but a couple work well in soy. This will be a long wait being that they aren't available til the 19th. Godd thing I have oter FO's to work with til then. Kelsey
  2. I'm still in the learning phase of candle making so there are things that I don't know how to trouble shoot yet. Every candle I have poured over the past 2 weeks is ending up with wet spots. I don't understand why. It doesn't matter if I pre heat the containers or not and I have tried pouring at different temps. Can anyone explain why this is happening. Thanks Kelsey
  3. Thanks for the reply. I thought I was correct however I just wanted to make sure Kelsey
  4. I put my wax in a plastic container to weigh it before adding it to the presto post. My question is.... okay it may sound stupid, anyway I need to add the weight of the container I am weighing my wax in to the total weight correct? Another words if my container weighs let's say 8.4 oz and I want a lb of wax then the scale should say 1 8.4oz. correct? Kelsey
  5. Ah so that explains it! I was beginning to think I was a moron because I didn't see anything related to PM's. Thanks Mizbizzyb! And yes holly has been extremely helpful. Kelsey
  6. I tried that and it didn't say anywhere to send u a PM. I edited my profile to be able to recieve emails so u should be able to email me. I couldn't find anywhere to activate PM. Kellie
  7. Holly, what soy did you use with that container. Kelsey
  8. Hi Holly, Well you are the first I've come across that has used this container! I don't think many do. I had purchased some candles from Je T'aime and fell in love with the container (and her candles, great sig. scents and great cold and hot throw) I'm almost certain that she uses something other than C3 not sure what though being that I am only familiar with C3. I thought I would start out with the 10 oz. and when I got that down to a science I would move up to the 18 oz. I haven't had too much of a problem getting a full melt pool, my problem is not so good scent throw. I've only been testing the eco wicks, I have used 2 4's, 2 6's and 2 8's. the 6's seem to be best for full melt pool, but not the scent throw I would like and that's based on using different FO's at 6% per lb of soy. This wick thing is rather confusing! So I am on to the HTP's and if they don't work then to CD's I suppose. Tell, me were you getting a decent throw even though it took awhile to get the full melt pool? Kelsey
  9. Can anyone tell me what the percentage would be when using essential oils in soy candles? Thanks Kelsey
  10. Carrie, she does double wick her candles, what do u feel is her reason and do u have a recommendation on the HTP wicks using 2? I am attaching a pic of the container I use, I tried to order frosted but all the suppliers of this container have discontinued it. I wonder why Kelsey
  11. I don't have a pic at the moment but it is the 10 oz square footed container that Je Taime uses (u see it sometimes advertised here) it is 3.25" H x 3.33" diameter. Hope this helps. Thanks Kellie
  12. I would like to test the HTP in this container Early American Candle - Candle Supplies using C3 soy. Can anyone suggest which of these wicks I would use both ways single and double (not sure which way I want to go) Thanks Kelsey
  13. Vicky, Do you order directly from Anchor Hocking?
