  1. Honeysuckle for us is a top seller, but you do have to go easy on it as it can be very overpowering
  2. Leave it in the mold, you get the hang of it and repours become simple.
  3. If you use CB advanced, you must expect a full melt pool each burn. According to them, it is designed to do this
  4. Anyone ever had this???? Poured red with regular strawberry FO in normal MP140 paraffin wax, normal colour dye liquid. The candles became orange immediately!!! Strange thing is some of the candles were fine while others turned orange in the same batch. Not UV as the candles were turning immediately. Even the wax in my pour pot turned orange!!!!! Tried 2 types of liquid dye and 2 types of candle. Only some turned orange out of the 2 batches. Can anyone say that it has happened to them or explain what could be the cause. Never happened before and hope we can cure it now.
  5. I agree, they will make anything with anything and not care a darn. No laws and if there are, they are there to be overlooked.
  6. You and I might understand the terms aromatherapy and essential oils, but the general public do not. It is the same as trying to educate people out of the idea that they can use any soy wax for massage. Explain that FO are man made, EO are from plants and trees and are natural
  7. I use ecosoya CB advanced, 5% EO and still get the droplets on top. Never had this with 415
  8. I get perfect HT and CT with essential oils and CB advanced. I use 5%. EO I use pure 100% essential oils. The scent throw is better with pure 415 but still good with CB advanced. You just have to test with the wicks you have and you will get it right. I find that the EO are better
  9. Aromatherapy should just be EO, after all that is what aromatherapy is all about. You will not achieve the desired effect of aromatherapy with FO and this can be misleading to the customer. I recommend that if you have an aromatherapy line that it is only EO, after all these are what cause the benefits in aromatherapy. I am amazed that people sell candles with FO and call them aromatherapy because there is nothing aromatherapy about it!!! You can't use FO for an aromatherapy massage!! With regards spa fragrances, you can use anything FO or EO
  10. Essential oils do not spoil, but their beneficial effects can be altered. You will still ge the same fragrance but if they are very old, the benefits will no longer be valid, this will happen after at least a year
  11. Forget about the sh@@@t customers, they are few and far between. Don't sell to him, focus on those who are happy customers. I have no problem saying that i can't sell candles to people who don't appreciate how to burn them. Tyre kickers are not your business!!!!!!
  12. Ecosoya advanced tends to always have a weak flame, no matter if the wick size is fine. I use 415 and never have the problem of a weak flame, but do have shrooms. Not concerned about frosting at all.
  13. Square braids rule IMO, love them for pillars of all types
  14. A lolly stick works well. Cut down the middle, put in the wick and centre.
  15. If you have competition, you gotta buy their products and test so you are able to give the advantages of your products over theirs. If you don't you will never know what you are talking about and come from a position of strength.
  16. Have you considered an organza bag? quick and easy and you can still smell the candle. I am not sure of the size of the heart you are talking about, though.
  17. If you get what you want without shipping costs, then you have it made. I still believe that the suppliers are cheaper as they buy huge quantities and you would be better off buying from them
  18. Sometimes the suppliers are cheaper than the manufacturers because of the quantity you may order.
  19. Frosted glass can show up the wet spots just the same as clear, but they do look a lot more upscale in certain applications
  20. I use a lot of 415 and coconut oil and the candles come out fairly well most of the time
