1. If it's too late for Paypal and you used a credit card, you can always call your card company and they'll take care of it. What's with some of the mold people closing down, opening up, closing down, opening up? I understand that things happen in life.... lord do I know. That's why I'm starting to work on some molds myself. Plus, postage is getting so outrageous. It's sad where in some instances the postage (to me) is almost as much as the mold. I feel I'm backed into a corner. I've got a couple things in the works and the weather isn't as cold (it's been up to 40F here...woohoo, heat wave) so I can get out to the garage and get crackin on some things.
2. I'm glad I read this. I was going to order the neons. Do they all smell or is it just the pink?
3. woohoo I'm glad you came back and posted that.
4. Misty, those are terrific! I really like the colors in the Basil Sage Mint. Actually I like how they all look. The Strawberry Cheesecake looks good enough to eat!
5. Those look great suds! As long as you used a short stitch length you should be fine.
6. Barb, thanks so much. I used orange pop in the Georgia Peach. I love that orange. Actually, it's the only orange I have . Green Clover & Aloe smells wonderful, so you can imagine my horror when making the salt bar. I'll have to send you a pic of that one. lol. Thanks Scented for the wb. I think when I got here you were having probs with the fairies and gremlins, so I'm thinking I got them from you.... yep, from you. So, um, that makes it all your fault. Yep... that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
7. Thanks so much, kestagano. I really do like them, I don't know why I posted and basically apologized for doing so, lol.
8. Thanks, Wayne, for your nice comments. I'm going to try the Green Clover & Aloe in a non-salt bar recipe and see if it does the same thing. I imagine it will, but this time I'll be ready. Funny thing is, I can't remember if I read a thread on this fo last summer about it accelerating or not. I'm not sure that putting the non-gelled ones in the freezer and then cutting shortly afterwards. These were pretty fluid going in the molds and it was almost a week before I cut them. Maybe if I do it again (which I'm sure I will, cuz I'm just like that ) I'll wait a day or 2 and then put it in the freezer and see what happens. I remember they were pretty soft even when I did decide to cut them and thought I should wait another day or 2. Hey, maybe I'll do the same recipe and throw that Green Clover and Aloe in there and see how long it takes to firm up! That sounds like just the plan! I'm going to do it! Thanks for giving me that idea. You said you take them out of the freezer and cut them after 15 to 20 mins..... whatsa matter, I thought you would take those puppies right out to the bandsaw and go to town . HEY! Now there's an idea! (j/k, I think I'm getting a little giddy tonight trying to combine my scrollsawing w/my soap making)
9. I forgot to add, the last two...Georgia Peach and Love Spell were non-gel soaps. First time I ever did that. I might even do it again The only drawback to it is I couldn't cut for several days.
10. Carrie, looking good there, I really like your labels. I bet these do well for you!
11. Sex on the Beach - I was sorry to see this one go brown in the parts I didn't color, but at least some of the colors still show thru, so not all is lost Oh, and don't let me handle the vegetable peeler again ok? Thank goodness I only did this to 3 bars. I don't know what I could have possibly been thinking. Georgian Peach - This was a fast mover as you can tell by the top. I'm basically not pleased with this one, but some parts of it are starting to grow on me. Other people think it looks great. I guess we can agree that at least it smells great lol. Love Spell - I was going for more pink in this one, but somehow the polished silver took over. In spite of that, I love the way this looks and know there is no way I will ever be able to duplicate it This goes to show the newbies, that it doesn't matter how long you've been making soap... when the fairies and gremlins decide to visit, they visit! What I'm not showing is my instant salt bar on a stick... now that is something to see. The Green Clover and Aloe turned that whole thing to solid stone faster than you can say Leprechan! Whew, I still have flashbacks to that one.
12. I finally got some pics taken. Hope you enjoy, cuz the fairies and gremlins, oh and even Murphy have been visiting my house lately. Cashmere Mist - I used Raspberry Pop, 24K Gold, Super Pearl Micas. The swirl on top looked better in log form. Did an ITP swirl but it doesn't show up too well. Divine - HP'd this one. Didn't quite come out as I had hoped so will try to CP it instead, but I don't mind it too horribly bad, lol. Blue Sugar - Last summer I HP'd this one and thought "eh, it's ok". This time I CP'd it and absolutely love it. Tried for a blue color with a new mica, but was mostly gray. Now that it's got a couple weeks on it, I see some blue actually starting to peek through... almost like a denim. Thanks for looking!
13. Very nice, looks like they turned out great and your swirl looks beautiful. Congrats on your first salt bar! Salt bars are usually only left in the oven for an hour. In extreme cases, 2 hours but never longer. Next time you make them, try 1 hour, they should be easier to cut.
14. Carrie, just go for it, don't keep putting it off. Once you make your first batch, you'll wonder why you waited so long. :)
15. Barb, well that's one awesome color, and if it's even brighter in person, it must practically glow.
16. They all look great ,but I love how soft the pink likes in Sweet Sexy Little Thing. :laugh2: @ soap bitch. *where's my whip?*
17. Barb, it's awesome! I love the blue base and those swirls are fantastic! I can't help you with the scent, but want to say good luck with your mixing. I'm sure you can get something close.... keeping fingers crossed for you.

19. Wayne, they both turned out great. The black and white one is very striking. btw, did you check your pm's the past couple of days?
20. Why don't you just email the seller and tell her the things your mother is allergic to and ask her if her products contain any of them? Better yet, just don't buy from that seller. Why keep getting your knickers in a knot over that seller? The seller most likely won't sell to you now anyway if you've been a pita to her. There are alot of reputable sellers out there to choose from. Try googling "headache balm", or like you said, learn to make it yourself. Making balm isn't that hard, and researching the eo's that help relieve headaches isn't hard either. And yes, if you are looking for a soap that lathers well, you should also state that you are looking for products that don't contain the following "list mom's allergic products here". Easy peasy. You might get more responses for your classified ad, or someone willing to work with you.
21. I'm with Barb, I like them all! Nice swirls going in the green one, way to go!
22. Angi, thanks for the link. Those silicone molds look like the ones Ikea carries. A friend gave me a bunch of different shaped ones but I have not tried them yet, maybe I should do that this week. I don't know if I could stand to wait 5 days before unmolding. I'm kinda impatient like that
23. "people afraid to use soap when they fine out it's made with lye" People are amazing aren't they? What do they think they have been using on themselves all these years? (Things that make ya go "hm") And Care Bear, I hear ya about your sister. I just recently went down and visited mine and I guess she failed to remove the last basket of soap I sent her.... ummm, about 2 yrs ago Christmas) from under her tv stand where she must have put it after opening it. I said nothing, but filed it away for future reference. Oh, and my mom hasn't tried mine either... says she has to use Dove too. (what's with THAT?) lol
24. Hi Sabrina, One of the best ways to find a fragrance that will give you the results you want is to check this thread. Alot of members have posted to it and there are tons of recommendations. http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6052 HTH
25. ditzy, those are so very cute! I haven't used FBB yet, but that sounds alot better than the whipped soap. Mine still hasn't hardened up since last summer when I made them. Here's a stupid question. How in the world did you get the bath bomb stuff packed down in a cupcake paper? I must be missing something here and obviously need some enlightenment The bath oil beads for the top are a great idea. I didn't think they made those anymore... man, I need to get out and visit some bath shops more lol.
