1. They look yummy! When you say 'meringue, do you mean whipped soap?
2. Beautiful, Grandma! Love thos swirls. Egyptian Musk is also my personal favorite :highfive: I just love it!
3. Thank you ladies And the best part..... no ash!!
4. Woohoo! I can't wait to hear how you like it!
5. Thank you, ladies :smiley2: I also forgot to mention that this fo doesn't accelerate trace or discolor! It's a keeper for sure. CBE, most of these will be going towards a swap, but I'm sure I'll have some extras. (goes and chisels CBE in one) Vio, that's exactly the look I wanted...oceany. So colored the base blue and used the green, grape and tangerine to represent the colorful fish and plants. (You're in my head again aren't you? . Pretty cavernous, eh? lol) LovelyLathers, yep for the most part am feeling better each day. I still have to lay down though during the day, but I can only lay there so long before I start going a little batty. Man, I don't see how lazy people do it, lol. But yes, this is the first batch I've made without help since the surgery. I even figured out how to get the big drum of coconut oil over to the counter without lifting it by the handle. Where there's a will there's a way. Ginger, it smells nice and oceany, simply divine, just perfect for a salt bar.
6. Thank you :smiley2: The colors are growing on me. I was going for a manly look. I've been thinking about the blue, I had wanted to do a darker blue than the pop, but the more I think about it, if it was dark blue, you wouldn't be able to see the black swirls. So it's official, blueberry pop it is.
7. Be careful there lady, we can't have you severing your toes in the shower
8. I was betting you would too, Barb, how did ya know? Thank you so much, I'm really pleased how they came out.
9. This fo was just crying out to be in a salt bar, so I heeded the call. Colors are blueberry, tangerine, apple green, and grape pops. They smell fantastic! Before going in the oven: Cut: Thanks for looking.
10. Barb, I love everything about them....the color, the textured top, everything! Just beautiful!
11. Ah, I'm 2 hours behind ya, it was only 1:44 MST when you posted the question. And yep, I do my best work in the middle of the night amongst the shadows...mmuuuaaahhhh
12. Beautiful colors, Jennie! They certainly match the name of the fo. I have to chuckle, I just took my salt bars out of the oven, guess we both had soaping on our minds tonight
13. Thank you very much ladies. My next batch of OHP will be the pink sugar
14. Looks great...so nice and creamy. Great job!
15. Thanks everyone! And a big thanks to you Barbara for helping me out. I just had to conquer those things and this is the first batch that looks like I did (I looked all over the house for my 2nd crockpot that I KNEW I had..... it finally dawned on me after a day and a half that my hubby has it at his one office! dang him... ROFL) And woohoooo! I got my very first dancing baby too!! Vio, that's it! It looks like marble... couldn't quite put my finger on it. And boy do they smell yummy Scented, I don't "cook" any of my colors when I HP, they all get added at the end of the cook along with the goat's milk and fo. I used about 1 tsp to approx 1.5 lbs of soap. I knew the blueberry pop wouldn't come out dark. I had wanted a darker blue for this bar, but I don't have any dark enough blue dye. (Don't ask about the FD&C blue fiasco I had before this batch *faint* ) lol
16. Hey, I think it looks great! Nice swirls...nice tops. I always leave my tops textured and rough looking when I use my log mold. I feel it adds something to the "homemade" aspect of the soap. Sorry to hear your forgot the fo.... I have trouble remembering to add the fo when i'm doing cp because I've done hp for so long
17. Looking good there! Did you use a fo in this batch?
18. Yep, Donna, I'm feeling a bit better. Still have to lay down during the day for a bit, but getting stronger every day. I even went out to my meeting last night! LOL@ the pops and micas, I don't blame ya woman, that was one big whack of powders.
19. Thank you. I got my BS from Canwax. I was not familiar with this fo, so I have nothing to compare it with, but I really like what I got. I know diff companies fo's often smell different, so I don't know if this is a dead on one or not. Luci, I got tips on here from BarbaraAL and Soapfreak. I did this swirl using a spatula and folded the colors in. Put my spatula down into the soap by the side of the pot and drug it to the middle and lifted. Did that all the way around the pot and then did some slices through parts that looked blobby (is that a word?) and then used my chopstick then poured into my mold. The dropped my mold from about a foot high onto the counter several times to get out air pockets. HTH
20. That is fantastic! Congratulations!!!
21. Blue Sugar fo ... oven hot processed. I'm pretty well pleased how this turned out. Still not sure about the colors, but I think they are growing on me......blueberry pop, black oxide, chameleon glitter. They are just cut, but not cleaned up yet. Hope you like
22. Oh, how did I miss this? It looks fantastic....and yep, looks good enough to eat!
23. I've been getting all my oils and butters from OBN for years. Great prices, great service, you couldn't ask for any better.
24. Yep, you did the right thing, just keep stirring it all back together. And don't worry about the sugar. I've OHP'd for years and never heard of adding sugar. I did try it a couple times after reading it here, but didn't notice any difference....but hey, that's just me. I used to only OHP and then when I came here and saw all the beautiful CP swirls, I had to try it... it's the CP that I keep forgetting the fo in
