  1. Ah Donita, is there anything you can't turn your hand to and have it turn out perfect? Absolutely beautiful.
  2. They look gorgeous and I bet that your Grandmother is going to appreciate all the thought you put into them as well as their fabulous look and smell.
  3. Donita, fabulous as always - and your chunks look good too. LOL. Good to see you back in business. Mozzie
  4. WOW! They all look sensational. Your photographic skills are the equal of the quality of your rustic candles- first rate!
  5. Your tea lights look great. You have been very industrious. Keep on posting.
  6. Hi Sabrina, They all look lovely especially the blended palm and the swirl. How did you manage to get the rings to sit on a lean like that? And your water candles look like little sailing boats - just gorgeous. Mozzie
  7. Hi Dani, I've just phoned a local art supplier and they have the stuff you're talking about. I pick it up tomorrow. Thanks. Is it definitely different to clear acrylic sealer? Mozz
  8. Hi, I've been printing decal labels for my Everlasting candles with my inkjet printer and then sealing with several coats of clear acrylic sealer but whether or not the ink stays on the paper seems to be a hit and miss affair. Some labels come out perfectly after immersing them in water while others just wash away. Has anyone else had this problem? And, more importantly come up with a solution? It's costing me a fortune in time and ink and paper to keep on redoing these things so any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA. Mozz
  9. Sabrina, that's sensational! :highfive: Bet you can't do it again. LOL. Mozz
  10. Henry, they are absolutely sensational! Awesome.
  11. E, beautiful, of course. We've come to expect no less from you. Absolutely gorgeous colouring and your rustics are to die for. M
  12. Sabrina, what's not to like? I'm sure that your friend will love them - they've turned out really well. Great colours too.
  13. They are simply gorgeous - stunning colours. Love them!
  14. I know that it sounds like a lot of work but when I get wicks that just won't stand up straight by themselves I pop a wick centring gizmo (from Rob and Steph in Tx) over the top of the cup and that holds them in place beautifully. HTH.
  15. They look sensational - great colour and fabulous feathering. Congrats on getting the glass centred - it's quite a challenge.
  16. Wow, Sabrina that's great! You've managed to achieve random mottling, something I've never got the hang of. Hope that you'll pass on your recipe.
  17. They are simply awesome! Love 'em to bits. I'm trying to work out how you did it - they look too complex for layers and too "smooth" for want of a better word for chunks. If you're willing to tell, I'd also love to know how you achieved that effect.
  18. Hi Joanne, I simply place the wick (and tab) in the cup, pour in enough wax to cover the wick tab base. Reposition the wick tab to where I want it (it always moves when I pour the wax in). Leave it for a couple of minutes to set, straighten the wick and pour in more wax. I pour in 3 stages: firstly to set the wick tab, secondly to almost fill the cup, and finally to fill the shrinkage around the wick. HTH. Mozzie
  19. You must have incredible patience to paint even one, never mind 15+. Your DGD is sure to be thrilled and a huge hit with her team mates.
  20. The picture isn't enlarging when it opens in the new window but what I see I like. It looks brilliant. How on earth did you manage to get the proper black and white bits done - paint? Fabulous creation!
  21. Hi Sue Ann, Have just pm'd you. Here is a link to a previous thread that may be helpful. http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31997 Cheers, Mozz
  22. I feel your pain. It's been my experience far too often with these palm pillars. LOL. Now I'm having the same dramas with tea lights of all things! Is it the same wick in both the round and the octagon pillar?
  23. Your displays look fabulous - both the actual shelving itself and your candles in them. Great creating!
  24. The tea lights are in glass holders inserted in the palm wax. That's what stops the palm wax from melting from the heat. Glad you like them.
