  1. Looks good, Sabrina. Really nice effect and great colour.
  2. That looks lovely, like a long ,cool, refreshing drink. Bet it smells great too.
  3. Wow, they look so life like! Are they supposed to melt once the cinnamon buns, etc melt or will they stay solid like a hurricane?
  4. They look totally adorable. No wonder you couldn't resist.
  5. They look fabulous, really cool and refreshing.
  6. Help, I'm a bit confused. Are these skillets made of wax, and if so, why? What will you do with them?
  7. Thanks for the help. I haven't been cleaning my candles before applying the decal so will do that in future and hope that it helps. I read somewhere else about rubbing the decal down with methylated spirits after applying it and I've done that with some testers last night and it seems to be helping so I imagine that a combination of both has got to do the trick. Thanks again.
  8. I'm having trouble with waterslide decals (both lazer and inkjet) peeling off my pillar candles (both paraffin and palm wax) after they are dry. It might be a day later or even longer but they are just not staying stuck. Any suggestions on how to ensure that they become permanent fixtures will be gratefully accepted. TIA.
  9. They are a real work of art. Bet they weighed a ton. LOL. Nicely done.
  10. They look lovely - gorgeous colours. Now, just a quick question: It appears to me that your everlastings aren't wrapped. If that's the case, are you not concerned about them getting dented? I know that mine get chips out of them at the drop of a hat. Just curious, as it would be a shame if they got damaged after all your hard work (and fun, I hope). Whoops, another question coming. Your tea lights look like palm wax also. If so, what wick are you using as all of mine so far have been too weak?
  11. Wow, they look really good. Great colours and rustic finish.
  12. They all look great but the middle one is stunning - great work.
  13. They all look great. Love the colouring of the blueberry cheesecake - nice combination. Packing looks good too.
  14. Sabrina, they all look spectacular but the rustic is my favourite - great colours and frosting. Mozz
  15. Beautiful colour and I bet the scent is gorgeous. Have pm'd you with a copy of what I put on the bottom of my everlasting's.
  16. Donita, those are gorgeous. Love the colour combination. Oh happy accident.
  17. They look great, hope the drillng works out for you. Good luck with wicking.
  18. Top's explanation is spot on (naturally). However, a picture may be helpful for you so here's a link to instructions for making palm wax pillars - substitute paraffin for palm and you won't go far wrong - using a wick pin. The photos are on the last page. HTH. http://www.naturalcandlesupply.com.au/images/palm_user_guide_pillar.pdf
  19. I have heard that adding too much vybar can lock up fo and wonder if stearine can do the same? I usually add stearine (to paraffin) at 10% but decided to try making tarts with 20% (just to see what happens) stearine and 9% fo and can't smell a thing. Any insights would be appreciared. TIA. Mozzie
  20. Love the rustic the best, it looks really lovely. As regards the logo on the back, are you able to use decal paper? It may look better printed on a clear background. Good luck with everything.
  21. Hey Susan, I really like that idea of yours. Do you colour the sand to match the wax or am I just being insane? Also wondering if you have any pics you could post. Thanks, Mozz
  22. Just to keep you posted - I've purchased some silicone adhesive that's rated to 205 C and will give it a try and then post the results in case anyone else has the same problem.
  23. Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried hot glue but that doesn't stick to the glass at all. Maybe I've just got a crappy glue gun. Not sure what you mean by silicone - is it something you buy in a tube that adheres to both glass and metal?
  24. with convex bottoms is proving a sore trial to me. I have tried wick stickums but as soon as the wax melts the wick tab slides off the high spot and too close to the side of the jar. What do others do to keep the wick tab centred? The jars I am using are tiny - only about 2" wide so as soon as the wick is off-centre it is dangerously close to the side of the jar. TIA.
