  1. No, it's not your eyes - my comment about "not quite as crackled as I would like" was probably a huge understatement. LOL. Try, try, try again. Glad you like them.
  2. Love what you've done and amazed that you found time to collect shells on your honeymoon. How about putting them in a large, shallow bowl and floating small candles on top? I'm sure that whatever you decide it'll look terrific. Keep that creativity flowing.
  3. Donita, Just love your work AND your enthusiasm AND your sharing. You absolutely deserve everything good that comes your way PLUS mountains more. Thanks for making my candle making foray that much more enjoyable.
  4. Here are my first 2 attempts at crackled chunks (Donita, thanks for the instructions) - not quite as crackled as I would like but I'm pretty happy with them all the same. The purple one is Lavender and the Coloured one is Lime and Orange.
  5. I think they both look gorgeous.
  6. Hello everyone. I have read that some people use a heat gun to heat their mould prior to pouring or just after pouring - what effect does this have on the finished pillar?
  7. LOVE IT!!!!! You are so creative and thanks for sharing how you did it - it really helps to know how certain effects are achieved. Also love patchouli.
  8. Your shelves look fantastic and I can't believe how many candles you've made - do you ever sleep? LOL. BTW are container candles really popular in America? You hardly ever see them in Australia - pillars seem to be the way to go over here. Don't you just love these little cultural differences - fascinating!
  9. Agree that the marble looks awesome but love the colour of the rustic - did you change the mixture as you were pouring coz is looks darker nearer the top?
  10. Julie, Your candle looks FANTASTIC!! I also love that you shared how you made it - being a Newbie I'm always on the look out for the "how to's" - thank you.
