  1. Er, couldn't we just say that it rocks or is that showing my age? LOL.
  2. Kim, they are just going to love those. They look really great. Lettering is something I am just not game to do and yours look so perfect.
  3. Sure thing, Pam. It's made by Chroma Inc. and is called Chromacryl, Students' acrylic Gold or Gold Dorado (it say's both "Gold" and "Or Gold Dorado" on the tube). I found mine in a craft shop so I expect that it's readily available in America. Good luck, it's a lovely gold.
  4. Looks great and bet it smells lovely.
  5. How about "Too good to eat". After all, it looks (and smells) good enough to eat but is better than that.
  6. Donita, stunning as always, and such patience - you are my hero!!
  7. You girls are just too funny. Thanks for being such a great cheer squad. I really chuckle when reading your posts. Sabrina, my hand is far from steady (although the stylus indents really help) so I dread to think what I'm really writing. I just trust that no-one who speaks / reads Mandarin will see it. After all, it's all in the intent, isn't it? Pleeeeze?
  8. Suzie, Hi. I bought my JMC from Peaks and absolutely adore it. Thanks for the kind words. Ditto to everyone else who has responded with such heartening encouragement.
  9. Nice colours and adhesion, but the top is a bit off-putting IMO. Not that I have any suggestions for fixing it - but I'm sure that someone will chime in with helpful advice. Keep on practising (and posting).
  10. here's another view. Just also wanted to acknowledge candlesprite7 (Kim) for telling me about using a stylus to emboss designs on candles before painting them - thanks.
  11. is the name I've given this one. It has a different Chinese character painted on each side, one for luck, another for prosperity, happiness, and longevity. Scented Asian Sandalwood (how original is that- not?).
  12. The purple looks very pretty.
  13. Very brave of you, and what a great result. Happy orbing!
  14. Sabrina, I've been advised that polypropylene bags are great for storing candles in to preserve scent. They come in a range of sizes so that there's a size to fit most pillars. I just seal them with sticky tape. I found a local supplier through a web search for "Packaging Materials" in the business telephone directory. HTH.
  15. Looks very cute. Any chance of a close up without the packaging - I really like the look of those bees in the background?
  16. Maybe you could try pouring at a slightly higher temp. so that the wax is cool but not slushy. BTW, I wouldn't worry too much about the aesthetics of the bubble holes, after all it is a 'rustic' candle. I'd just be concerned about air pockets within the candle and if you feel confident that they're non-existent then beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
  17. Hi, just letting you know that I've found a local supplier and got a great price on some pp containers with a "5" on the bottom. They also have lots of other great packaging supplies so I'm thrilled to bits. Thanks for your very helpful advice.
  18. Sorry, Sabrina, what was I thinking! Thanks for the kind words, girls. I"ll head off to bed now with a song in my heart. For those in the land up-over, it has just gone 12:30am here.
  19. scented with Frankincense and Myrrh
