  8. Not sure where you are but i love my french rep. he's really nice, but cant think of his name off hand...have to check my business cards. I dont really deal mush with him though. Maybe ask them that you dont want to be seen by a rep anymore. I have another supplier that is very imcompetant every since they lost their rep and never replaced him...get such bad service now, but I need the product from there.
  9. Do you have the proper equipment? Have you secured large quantities with your vendors? Employees=unreliabilty, insurance, and lots of costly mistakes Do you have dock to ship from? Do you have enough capital to order that much supplies? Most chains can take up to 90-120 days to pay, very few busineses pay in 30 days even though thats what terms are set up for. What if the product doesn't sell, and they don't reorder? Just some things to think about.... oh, and congrats
  10. I'm looking for exhaust, motor oil, or rubber fragrance oil. Can't seen to find anyon eyet who carries it. Any help would be appreciated.
  11. Exactly!!!! Being in business is also about taking chances. I have many companies that when purchasing from for our store they state right up front, our minimum is $1000, no exceptions. There are just some lines that you need to sell a large amount of, one of them being candles. Our wholesale minimum is $200. We have trade show specials sometimes that we allow them to go under or have a few customers that only order one item once a year. But after the shopw, no exceptions, $200 min. If a store can't spend that, they'll be out of businees anyhow in the next year. I've seen min for candles ranging from $100-$1000 for an opening order.
  12. Retail price of my 8JJ are $6 and 16JJ $10. Tey to check out the competition and see how inline you are. A lot depends on the lid and labeling too.
  13. FYI...UPS, not sure about Fedex(or may have them reversed) do not do COD's to Residential addresses. At least thats what I was told. So you may be out of luck. What about paypal? I think most suppliers are taking them now, and some except prepay checks.
  14. I have one that measures about 15" in diameter and weighs about 5#. We made a few but haven't tried to sell them yet, we'll proabably try at a few shows next month. It tested pretty good. Took a long time to get a melt pool going though, so i may add a few more wicks, it has 6 now.
  15. I've actaully used a sker to create a hole in the mold and then use rolled wicking to thread through it.
  16. Never bought any glass jars from them, but did some other things many times. Their CS is very good.
  17. Stupid me did a custom label w/o them technically signing off on. I always sent customers a sample, and for some dumb reason I didn't do it this time. I emailed the label and she said it was fine, but when they got them they had the wrong phone number! Any ideas? I hate to bring them all back.
  18. Website..been doing for about 1 yr now Storefront...5 yrs, getting ready to open another next month Craft Shows....been doing for over 20 yrs (not candles the entire time...I started in chocolate) do only about 6 larger festivals now in just fall/winter. 19. Dont use KY's but, I generally dont heat them when its hot out, but when its cold, I use a kerosene heater and stick them in a metal basket until I'm ready to use. Heating them with a heat gun or a microwave would work too, and could keep them in the basement..
  20. that sounds exactly what I got at christmas tree shops last winter. I have know idea what you would use it with candles. I suggest making some soap, could be used for that...or amke some brownies!
  21. Normally I wouldn't, but this is a substantial amount of money. I faxed some paperwork over to them and gave tem a few days to pay it.
