  1. Let us know how the hot throw is. Good luck!
  2. Yes it can happen. Some suggest adding a bit of vanilla FO to the citrus scents to get rid of the fuel smell.
  3. I LOVE bakery scents, so needless to say, I am drooling over your soap! Good job!
  4. I would add: 1. Do power burns, around 6 hours. 2. Do tests with wick trimming, and no wick trimming.
  5. Thanks, Brenda! I signed up at The Scent Review board.
  6. I'm still in the research stage of making CP soap and I should be all set in about six months. The first scent I'd like to try is Gingerbread Man. In general, does this FO behave well in CP soap? Any recommendations?
  7. You may also have to wick DOWN with tins (compared to glass with the same diameter) because they tend to get hotter than glass, more so when you get towards the bottom.
  8. Wow, this is pretty scary! Are there EZ up tents that are similar to the Gustbuster umbrellas? I'm wondering if those would get carried away.
  9. You could buy pieces of wood - 2 inches wide X 1/2 inch thick X 6 feet tall - and put each one beside the door and copy the heights from the door onto these pieces of wood. My siblings and I each had our own growth stick.
  10. Yes, you should really stick to your new rules. Otherwise, it takes the fun out of work (candlemaking). And I want a pineapple bath bomb.
  11. Stella is right -- you didn't give wrong information. I don't color my candles either so I always use my embossing gun to fix the tops.
  12. Your labels look really, really nice. ("Perfectly" is misspelled though.)
  13. I like the overall look of your site. I breezed through the other posts but it seems like no one mentioned that your "Southern Scents" logo on the top of the screen is a bit too small. I guess it's just me then.
  14. Someone posted about those candles a while back but I can't find the thread.
  15. Why haven't you had success smoothing the tops with your heat gun?
  16. If I had a problem with a candle, I would go straight to the one who made it, if the contact information is available (and you mentioned that yours is). I guess you could ask the salespersons to take down the names and numbers of those who are complaining so you can contact them.
  17. Can't get into their site either but here's what I got from Google: Contact Information. Fairway Glass Co. 20325 center Ridge Rd. #395 Rocky River, Ohio 44116 Toll Free: 866-303-3400 Local Phone: 440-333-3400 ... www.fairwayglass.us/contactus.asp - 3k
  18. That's a really pretty mistake! You should name that technique.
  19. Yup, I agree. A hair dryer doesn't compare to a heat gun. You can also get an embossing gun at a craft store -- I got mine for $12 with the 40% off coupon.
