  1. My wish list is getting longer.
  2. I have a container candle (store-bought ) that is almost 4 inches in diameter and is triple wicked. The wicks are about 1 1/4" from the walls of the glass, and about 1 1/2" away from each other. Sorry, I have no experience with triple wicking so I'm not sure what size wicks would be a good starting point.
  3. When I'm ready to test another wick, I level off my pillar. I put it back in the mold, put it on some paper towels then on an electric griddle. I melt it till the surface is flat again. Once it dries, I stick in another wick.
  4. Based on your results, I would say LX 26 was too big for that candle. Since the LX's are coreless wicks, they curl when burning so you would always get an off center melt pool. Try wicking down to an LX 24 and see how it goes.
  5. I like Figure 8 best of all even if it has meaning only to your family. You can tell a story.
  6. I'm guessing that he means he uses them pure, undiluted. That would be the same as what we get from Peak, etc.
  7. I like it! I want one! I want one!
  8. How about you stick with Clover but add something else to it -- like Mountain, Stream, Lake, etc?
  9. That's right but there might even be more to it than just the wax they use to prime the wicks. It could also be the way they handle the wicks when they work with them -- stretching, etc.
  10. Yes, you're right -- there is only one manufacturer of each type of wick, but the suppliers who make the wick assemblies treat them differently. That may affect the way they perform. I have switched suppliers of wicks, tested them, and found the difference in the burn to be negligible, but that's not always the case.
  11. The same wick from different suppliers will not necessarily behave the same way. It depends on how they treat their wicks. It would be best to retest even if you get the wicks with the same wax coating.
  12. Heehee. Same here. I felt like I was playing "spot the difference" but couldn't come up with anything. I definitely like #2.
  13. IMO, a melt pool 1/4" to 3/8" deep in 4 hours is good -- even a little hang up is ok at this point. I feel that a half inch melt pool is too deep, especially since your wax level is still at the top part of the glass.
  14. You could still mix a reed diffuser base that has alcohol in it with FO since it's not meant to be lit. Some people just prefer their base to be alcohol-free.
  15. This is really just IMO -- no offense to anyone who has this in their business name, ok? -- but I feel that the word "Essentials" is overused. Like PA said, they all are popular in domain names. How about a spin off of BubbleBath's suggestion -- maybe "Down Luxury Lane" or "On Luxury Lane"?
  16. I haven't tried the FO from Brambleberry but I have the candle (by Slatkin) from BBW and it smells DIVINE!
  17. Those are pretty! I love the Keeper of the Flowers.
  18. How about The Pink Chick instead of egg? I am stuck with pink.
  19. I like names that have a story to them, one that you can tell on your About Us page.
  20. How about The Pink Egg? (since it's part of your story) I also like "Sparkle Lane" and "A Little Something."
  21. I like #1 because the purple adds more color to the label. I feel that the tree in #3 cuts the label in half.
