  1. I have a good friend who works at Smithfield Packing, and his job is to shave the fat off of a pig's ass. It's called trimming grease. So, maybe we could call it shavings or trimmings? Pig's ass?
  2. when I contacted CS because of my switch from KY125, they said that the wicks for 444 was comparable to the cb135 on their wick chart. I use LX and they work very, very well.
  3. would you like us to include our special blends, additives, wicks, jars, and notes from the last 5 years of testing as well?
  4. I am really not scoffing... but you can sell a cake for $22.50, but booth rental at $30 is exorbitant? It's none of my business and I wish you the best of luck!! It's not often that an untapped market is found, and I hope you count yourself lucky!
  5. www.daystarsupplies.com or, even easier for you... http://www.daystarsupplies.com/d-h.htm eta: majestic mountain sage has one, but I'm not familiar with how it acts... link for you: http://www.thesage.com/catalog/FragranceOils.html
  6. DS has a huckleberry from Serendipity, but it isn't available yet
  7. KY125 has cottonseed in it. A superb wax, by the way.
  8. I don't think it will be possible to fully test a new wax in two weeks. Especially soy wax. What exactly is wrong with the wax you've been using?
  9. why would you want to bring your temp back up?
  10. http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57638 http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57273 I suggest a wick kit and testing..
  11. got an e-mail from DS... they are discontinuing the cranberry banana jam (as well as some others) and it's on sale for$13.27 for 16 oz.
  12. CS all the way... true and the strongest
  13. if you click on the upper right hand corner, to the 'search this forum' button and use 'buttercream' as your search word, I'm sure that you'll find pages and pages of information.
  14. completely different... MC is a strong apples and cinnamon.... both great, both stand alone.
  15. eta: I have deleted my comments per a request. I'm entitled to my opinion on the ethics of people, as it gives all chandlers a bad name. However, I shouldn't have hijacked a thread. Please accept my apologies for doing so.
  16. genwax has them, greenleaf has them, and one more, but I can't remember. Mystical Angel uses them though, if you search I'm sure you'll find it.
  17. I use soy and never have to wick up... I still use 7% though, and it's strong, but not overbearing.
  18. the person who stated that has a history of being shady. From charging people extra money to add more FO, and then not actually adding the FO to 'borrowing' names. I think that is where the post originated.... in the misleading of people. And, it wasn't you, Carole! I'm not insinuating you are one iota less than completely ethical.
  19. apple cobbler delight from FOH, spiced apples & peaches from the candle source or TN (I haven't tested TN, but heard it's better), green apple from ST/ICS
  20. I've honestly never smelled a Yank** Buttercream, but DS's is the absolute best I've found.
  21. It becomes an oxygen issue with the 12 oz. metro. It's a column, and you get a dancing flame (which is a flame searching for oxygen, by the way) as it burns down.
  22. CS doesn't charge a handling fee, and their shipping is the lowest, I've heard. I'm lucky enough to live within driving distance, but their service simply can't be beaten!!
