  1. Well I decided to chuck the 6006 No matter what wick or fo I just could not get a good HT. So now I am going to try some 4627 and see how I like this one. I also ordered some htp wicks to try in it. I am not gonna let these little tins get the best of me I will find a wick and wax that I am happy with. Of corse it may kill me LMAO
  2. That could be it My CD 3 burns good in it. But I think I am gonna test some 4627 To me the HT is not as strong as I would like it.
  3. There only 1 3/4 inches round. The cd wicks burn good in my jar But I am getting no or very little HT. I am thinking about tring the 4627 and see how that wax works. If I remember I used to get great ct and ht from this wax. Oh the fun of testing LOL
  4. Hi If you do a search of the threads You will find lots of info on 464
  5. Pita to wick There driving me crazy. I am tring to wick a 2 oz stratus jar. I just love the look of these little jars. Here is what I have tested so far. I use 6006 wax, I am using peaks pecan pie No color The wicks I am testing are cd 3, cd5, lx16, 36 24 zinc, 44 24 zinc and an eco 4 The cd's seem to be doing the best right now the 36 zinc drowned. I am I missing any other wicks or sizes of wicks that may work with this wax. I am really determined to get these little buggers to burn right. I am not giving up no matter how mad I get. I am gonna win this battle LOL
  6. Update candle science called me and they said that they are removing the picture of the center of the tins Because with the two ounce tins they don't put the round middle for easy wicking. They also said that they have been varnishing them for over a year. I am very happy the way they handled my concerns. I just love candle science and there great customer service
  7. I am so pissed at candle science. I bought 5 cases of 2 oz tins. Well there site shows the new tins with the new coating and round spot to put the wick into. Well the send me my tins and there the old ones. These tins rust with certain fos and don't have the round spot in the middle to make it easier to wick. I called them and left a message. I hope they fix this :undecided
  8. Update I tried the 36z with several different fos and They started out good then drowned. So back to the drawing board for me. Now I am testing eco 4, cd 3, cd 5 and a lx 16 I tried a lx 14 but it drowned the wick after the first burn. I also tested with an all soy wax. Now I am going back to testing with the 6006. I like it much better. I will post my results after I am done testing
  9. They have a lot of patchouli in them. I don't like the smell of either But I have to sell them The snowman balls is a big seller for me all year round
  10. Snowman Balls and Reindeer Poo are real strong throwers
  11. I don't do summer shows any more. Living in Arizona it can get up to 120 degrees Now I only do fall and winter shows.
  12. WOW I need a nice space like that for mine
  13. Thanks I will try that and see how it works. I figured something must work to get the scent out
  14. Ok so nI have this large production rubber mold from candlewick. It is starting to pick up the scents I am using Like first pour is strawberry second pour is banana The second pour smells like strawberry and banana:undecided Is there a way to remove the scent from the mold So everything doesn't smell the same. What should I use to clean it.
  15. I allways used these colorants and they worked really well http://www.coastalscents.com/make-your-own-100/bath-fizzy-ingredients/colorants/wc-016.html You used to be able to buy the whole set from her But now I only see a few colors. But so a search and you will find them. I also think Michaels and Hobby Lobby may carry them. Just look in the baking section.
  16. I have a large mold to make small round wax balls with. I got it from candlewic I am gonna try that and see how well they work in a warmer. I think they would be neat to mix up different scents in Like Strawberry Ice cream, chocolate and cherry I bet I could come up with some really neat scent mixes. Then I could color them to match each scent like red and white for strawberry ice cream.
  17. I have had my lady friend who buys tarts from me all the time say . That the tarts I made over 3 years ago still smell great in her warmer. I use all soy in my tarts
  18. Theres a big thread on it In the wickless section.
  19. I bought me a mold from candlewick It wasen't cheap. I am going to make the dots in some neat scents. Pack them in 8oz containers with a nice label and a spoon. I like this idea much better. The squirty wax seems to messy and like it would burn the scent up to fast.
  20. Thanks for the ideas I will have to play around with waxes and see what I come up with. I like the idea of a scoopable wax for melts. I think they would sell good in my area. I don't like the idea of the squeeze wax. It seems to messy for me.
  21. Ya I wonder why it is so hard to find information on making them. I to was thinking of putting them into a larger container like a small jar.
  22. I was thinking of making some scoopable tarts. But I can't find any directions for making them. I am looking for a starting point. Any help would be great.
  23. I bet she sells a ton of them. I would like to know how they keep the wax soft like that.
  24. I got my small bins from the dollar store. There packed 4 bins for 1.00. You can't beat that. I have bought about 75 of them I make lots of scents.
  25. I bought a bunch of small plastic bins from the dollar store. I label them with the scent I am putting in each bin. Then I put them in a big cabinet with shelves. When I need them I just pick the bin with the one I need.
