  1. It would not surprise me If big companies are doing this. More and more people are buying handmade candles and melts. So they figure why not jump on the band wagon. So companies are tring to make there goods look more handmade. Even though they are machine made. Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between them. I think it is really shitty companies are doing this It makes the real handmade sellers look bad when the product really stinks and it is hard to tell what is really handmade or not.
  2. Ok I know my math is bad But this is driving me nuts. If you use 1 oz per pound of wax and you use .5 per half pound of wax then how much fo would I use for 2 oz of wax. This allways drives me nuts. Is there a chart to help me with this. Thanks
  3. I also love etsy But you will have to work your azz off to get sales. A new shop could take a year or more before it takes off.
  4. heres the link to it http://www.candlescience.com/containers/status-jars.php It's the 2oz one
  5. I was thinking of using these cute 2 oz status jars from CS. I am using 6006 wax No color just scent. I was thinking of starting with a 36-24 zinc wick. Do you think that wick would be a good starting point the jar is 2 3/4 inches high and 1 3/4 inches around. I just love the look of this cute tiny jar. Instead of using tins for weddings you could use these for a more elegant look.
  6. I also agree you need to wait until you get the best candle you can make out there. If you keep selling duds word will travel fast and you won't make any sales. Just my 2 cents worth.
  7. I use old cloths Lord knows I have messed up many a new shirt or pair of pants pouring wax. I am such a messy marvin when it comes to making my melts :laugh2:
  8. I love knitting over crochet. I learned to knit last year by watching some videos. I may have to get some of this yarn and try it out.

  15. Ok so I used 6006 wax NG Clean cotton no dye and a 36z wick I used 1oz per pound Been burning it for 6 hours So far it is burning great. The tin is a little warm but nothing to worrie about I can touch it and hold it without getting burned. My kitchen smells wonderful I can even smell it in my living room. Looks like so far the 36z is working wonderful. If it burns to the end without any trouble I will be using the 36z for these tins YAY success at last. :yay:
