  1. With my wax EcoSoya PB I have more misses than hits So I gave up on buying FOs from them. There just nit strong enough for me
  2. I put my label on the side also. I buy mine by the 1000 Here is the link http://www.webstaurantstore.com/newspring-e1002-ellipso-2-oz-clear-oval-plastic-souffle-portion-cup-1000-cs/128E1002%20%20%20%201M.html
  3. I sell mine with wicks in them. To me it makes it easier for them to light
  4. I fill a cupcake wrapper with pet bedding and then I add either a pinecone or some potpouri to the top and sell them for 1.00 each. So far they have been selling very good
  5. All I can say is WOW I never knew firestarters sold so good. I started making them this year for winter. Everyone out here seems to own a fireplace or firepit. Well I have a space in a shop so I made about 100 for that. My husbands dad just ordered 30 of them for himself. Another person I know bought 10 off me last week. Now my husbands boss is going to give them as gifts to all his customers. So he ordered 150 of them. Plus I have to keep replacing the stock I have at the shop I'm in. I guess I will be making lots more YAY for firestarters.
  6. I agree with Blacktie Dryer lint doesn't burn as long as wood chips.
  7. With mine I pack them with pet bedding 2 wicks and potpouri on top to make them look nice. I pack mine in a standard size cupcake pan and I also add a cupcake paper. I also use waste wax but I do run out and have to use my good wax to make them. Mine could also hurt someone If you threw it at someone LOL
  8. I was wondering for those of you who make firestarters. How much do you charge for one. Mine are pretty big they weigh between 2.5 and 3 ozs. I was tring to figure out a price for mine. I was thinking 2.00 for one. But maybe that is to high. A little help here please Thanks :smiley2:
  9. I want to start making votives. So what I would like to know is were do I get the shrink wrap to go around the votives? Also I am looking for the cardboard boxes to hold them in. Thanks
  10. OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO not another wax to try out. I guess I will be adding it to my list of things to try
  11. WOW I would think they would be better than that. But when I go shopping I see many candles like that. Some even worse. Thats why I allways make my own. Atleast I know mine are made much better than that. I just wish more people would realize that.
  12. I used to have wick pins with no bottoms on them. I would pour my wax then let it set up a bit and place the pin in the center and hold it until the wax set up. Sorry I don't remember were I bought the pins from.
  13. Now you love your presto pot as I did when I first got mine. Wait after awhile you will want a turkey frier next there great to use also. :rolleyes2 Oh and I keep mine at 180 for the wax I use
  14. Thanks so much I will try it and see how it goes.
  15. Ok I am now gonna try a PB and Excel mix for my tarts. Do you think I should try a 50/50 mix or a 70/30 mix. I don't want my tarts to soft. Other wise they may not come out of the clamshells. Thanks for any help
  16. I saw that on facebook and had to make a comment on how unsafe they could be. Of corse no one would listen.
  17. When you sest tarts in clamshells Do you test one or two of the squares at a time. I have doing one in a large scentsy warmer. But I wonder If I should use two instead. What do all of you do when testing.
  18. I was told the other day that they are the same. I am gonna order the KY wax It's cheaper than JS by about 15.00 a 50lb box. Shipping from there is cheaper for me also.
  19. I may have to buy a sample of the xcel and try it. The testing never ends LOL
