  1. I just placed an order for the la bomb colors from Brambleberry, I've heard a lot of good things about these, but they are quite pricey! Thank you for your response Dolphin, I will definitely check those out as well! I really hope this resolves my bath bomb issues and that it's not something else that I have overlooked, I haven't read ANYWHERE of anyone else that has had these issues.
  2. VERY new at making bath bombs, having some issues with these little boogers. I have not read anywhere that anyone else is having problems with powdered pigments making for a rather smelly bath bomb, mine had a chemical "hair perm" odor, and this was on 4 different scents. It took me a while to realize that it HAS to be the colorant, I first thought it was the witch hazel, and then maybe the plastic bowl having a reaction. My very first batch turned out so pretty and behaved so well using liquid soap colors, but left the dreaded ring around the tub when I tried to deepen the colors. I am using only high grade, name brand ingredients (baking soda, citric acid, etc.) I would be sooo grateful for any help or advice anyone could give me! My recipe: 1 c baking soda, 1/2 c citric acid, 1 Tb. kaolin clay, 1/2 Tb. f/o, around 1/2 t hydrated chrome green pigment from Brambleberry and spritzing with witch hazel Thanks!!!
  3. Made up some tri~colored layered fresh fruit slices in jelly jars, pink sugar and toasted marshmellow soy tarts, and some banana nut bread from Candle Science (love this stuff!). Tomorrow, I will fill an order for some CS angel candles.
  4. As a matter of fact, I asked your original question, not so long ago, on this forum. I learned that using DPG as a carrier base will keep the oil from burning off so quickly and will not change the scent of your FO. In my experiments, using water as a base, I discovered that H2O evaporated much too quickly, leaving only the concentrated oil in the bowl (and mine are glass bowls). The hot concentrated oil would smoke too much and the scent was not so pleasant, not to mention worrying about my bowls cracking! Not knowing what type of burners all of my customers are using, I think to be on the safe side, DPG is best...IMHO! Sure hope this helps! Thanks NewInTheBiz...I picked up the nickname (username) at the flea market where I make and sell soy candles.
  5. I use 50/50 FO and DPG in my electric oil burners, no water is needed.
  6. Thanks mustang67 for your reply, I will definitely give BCN a try. I have never ordered from this company before, just to take advantage of shipping cost, are there any other FO's you would highly recommend from them?
  7. Thank you Stella and Toni...I'm curious about BCN's s&o blend, could you tell me if it has that spicy, juicy fruit gum scent?...Thanks again!
  8. There has to be more of us out there, islandgirl! CS smoke and odor is good stuff. I never bothered sampling anyone elses, but now my customers are starting to line up for more and I have used (sparingly!) the last of my supply...help!... anyone?
  9. Hi everyone! I'm in desparate need of Candle Sciences smoke and odor fragrance oil, but they're still out of stock. Does anyone know of any other company that sells a smoke and odor that is identical?...or maybe just as effective? Thanks for any suggestions!
  10. Could I also get a copy of this please?...Thanks! SmellgoodDiva@aweefleacandleboutique.com
  11. Yes! I should have added the description from Natures Garden website...that would have been more helpful. Thank you so much Buffy and cedar_lea, your comments are giving me some great ideas. I don't think this scent is sweet enough, and a lot of people seem to be turned off of the bubble gum scent, maybe from growing up with bubblegum flavored medicine. I absolutely love the idea of mixing this with a fruit such as citrus or strawberry as I have both of these on hand. Strawberry Soda sounds so refreshing, love it...Thanks again!
  12. Hi Everyone, I purchased the bubbleluscious scent from Natures Garden, and this just isn't selling well for me. Any suggestions for mixing this with something else and renaming would be so helpful...Thanks!
  13. Good to know!...Thank you mparadise!
