  1. I was afraid of that. What in heck am I gonna call this soap now? I had the same idea as you. The scent is Clean (Dlish type).
  2. bumping this up to find out if my Deep Ocean is gonna stay brown. Wish I had found this post before soaping it yesterday. DARN!
  3. That's fantastic! Congrats.
  4. Cute and neat idea for a make-up bag too.
  5. He even made it with cut lines a la Misty Creek. I got a 12" tape knife at home depot. Viola! I got nice soapies. When I can take a decent picture, maybe I'll show ya'll.
  6. Those colors are simply lovely!
  7. Well, I think they're just beautiful! I got the pops in the co-op & haven't had a chance to try. These have inspired me. How much did you use?
  8. Yep! I'm with Carrie. One of the fellas at work made me a 9 bar slab for the price of a few bars of soap. I line it with some of that funky foam and I'm one happy woman. Once I get the hang of this, I'm gonna ask him to make a bigger one.
  9. Beautiful soaps & beautiful puppy. Take care of that nose.
  10. 9" x 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 really? The drawers don't look square to me. Looks more like rectangles. I also would love to know the size of these.
  11. That is fab! Congrats. btw, did the fish oil make the balm smell fishy? I remember years ago trying a dish made by a co-worker of mine who comes from Thailand who used it in a lot of her cooking, and it definitely tasted fishy.
  12. I have that store in my favorites but been hesitate to order anything yet. Thanks for letting us know.
  13. Well I'm still stumped. mine is 3" x 12". is this right? 1.5x1.5x3.14159x12=84 oz oils
  14. yep, I love my 1ozers. As a hobbyist, I can see if I like & not end up with lbs of stuff I don't like. Small batches are perfect for me :smiley2:
  15. fabulous idea! can't wait to try it.
  16. I'd like to know how to make the frosting to go with the cupcakes. I know I can buy the frosting base from ... ummmm ... oops forgot the name....but can it be done without that base using just regular mp tweaked with something? oh yeah swirls and jelly rolls too
  17. Yes to all of the above!!! Greedy aren't I. Hell, I need all the help I can get. Did I say I just love those tutorials! Hats off to those that can do them.
  18. I'd also like to see tutorials on cream soaps and whipped soaps in addition to all of the above. LOL! I just love this new tutorial section!!! I haven't been able to follow along with any of them cause I find it difficult to do the soap and keep going back & forth to the PC in the other room. But it's GREAT that they're there for when I'm ready to do them on my own.
  19. Thanks Carebear for taking the time to explain this. It just occurred to me after reading the cute sap explanation using the bunnies & wolves that maybe more (or less) bunnies or wolves might end up in one mold than the other. In other words, since it takes a certain amount of oils to react with a certain amount of lye, I was wondering if splitting the batches would affect this process (or not for that matter). Darn, am I making any sense here. I'm a total boob!
  20. Has all the lye been used up at trace or is that still happening during the cure? So then what happens when you split a batch into 2 different molds? Do you end up with more lye or oils in one of the molds than the other?
  21. Isn't it fun & nerve-racking all at the same time? congratulations on the birth of your first newborn!
  22. Maybe you can check out Crafty1_AJ Easy Goatmilk recipe? I believe it's a 2lb batch and it looks fairly easy to follow using canned condensed milk. I haven't tried it yet but will real soon. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
  23. Good Luck! We're all rooting(sp?) for ya!
