  1. bunkie, I also went searching for column molds. All I found was a daisy, heart & star from Jody's. Wish there was some other fab shapes but I haven't found any.
  2. Hello and welcome. We're all addicts here, so you're in good company.
  3. I'm with the majority. The colors are so vivid & beautiful, so no, don't chunk. But if you wanna try chunking, maybe do only a bit of it?
  4. I would describe them as a solid balm. Similar ingredients to a lip balm but in solid form. You rub it unto dry areas like elbow, heels, hands. They're easy to make and very moisturizing. I personally prefer them poured into twist up tubes but some pour them into tins or soap molds and cut into bars.
  5. I have to mix oxides & neons with oils and sometimes I will get specks. I do warm up the oil a bit before mixing and that seems to help a little. Micas & pops incorporate very easily without having to mix with oil and never any specks.
  6. I don't cover using either method

    ls + mp = wow!

fyi: they used 1/2 tab for 1 lb of mp (about 1.5 teas pp)
  8. Great sale! Are you using it to melt mp?
  9. Those look fantastic. Love those bright colors.

    ls + mp = wow!

Yes, it's dr bronner and yes I believe all natural from organic oils. But you can make your own just as well if not better. Very easy to make. A little co, oo, cb and some koh.

    ls + mp = wow!

No, I didn't. I made my own. For my tester, I made a 4oz bar using 1/2 teasp of ls.
  12. I also ordered samples of white, clear & natural. Haven't played with them yet but have to say I'm disappointed with the smoky-gray tint the clear has. I've never seen a clear quite that dark before.
  13. This came up in a thread where some people add the "doctor's" liquid castile to their mp for more bubbles & lather. Since I had just made a batch of my own ls, I decided to see for myself. All I can say is WOW! Huge bubbles, lots of foamy lather. I've been adding shaving base to my batches and I'm definitely switching to adding ls instead.
  14. Great idea! Never thought adding liquid soap to mp. I just made a batch of my own liquid soap. Gonna try that. Hopefully this weekend.
  15. Welcome to the board and good luck on your first batch
  16. yeah they do look great and that's a great idea too
  17. me too! Glad we can mix & match.
  18. Welcome Mike. You'll like it here. Really nice peeps.
  19. Beautiful soapies. Worthy of the soap dance.
  20. Ahhh CBE, yes, I see. Funny. I also tried to do swirls like that awhile back and didn't like the way they turned out either. Never occurred to me to use for embeds though. Thanks for that tip.
  21. Wow! Love those colorful embeds. Wanna share how you did them?
